Update 48.8 Release Notes

Here are the Release Notes for Update 48.8: A Glorious Hunt, Patch 8, released on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026.

News and Notes:

• Within the public dungeon "Dungeons of Barad-dûr" in Dor Amarth, rubble piles have been reduced in size to allow for easier traversal. Additionally the quest "Lost Lore of Gorgoroth: Dor Amarth" is no longer blocked by an offending rubble pile.
• Pagru-kirít, Garden of Corpses
• A new Tier 3 deed has been added for those up to the challenge!
• Trash
• Reduced ranged on Rending Cleave
• Khardâmu
• Added additional check for banner effects
• Reduced effective range on Ending Strike
• Ushkudâsh
• Increased cooldown of Weave Shadows
• Increased cooldown on Song of Nuzêru
• Reduced Area size of Song of Nuzêru pulsing from players
• Reduced damage on Shadow Spit
• Added callout for Call for Aid
• Reduced frontal size for the Spawn of Ushkudâsh fire breath
• Reduced damage on Shattering Roar
• Echoes of Nuzêru can no longer heal other Echoes of Nuzêru
• Rotting Blood now correctly gets removed when a player is healed to full health on Tier 3.
