The Spring Festival has sprung, and we want to see your screenshots! Are you feeling up to stomping some shrews, or are you gathering with your kinmates to celebrate the warmer weather?  Either way, we have some exciting categories in our Spring Festival Screenshot Contest for you to enter!

The contest will run from Monday, March 28th, 2011 until Monday, April 4th, 2011. Entries must be received by Turbine by April 4th, and you may only submit two screenshots per category. Four winners will be announced on the LOTRO forums on Wednesday, April 6th, 2011. Those who submit the winning screenshots will receive 500 Turbine Points for being chosen.

Screenshot Categories

We've broken the categories into two parts; individual and group.  For any of the solo categories we'll also accept a group photo, bur for the group shots you'll have to pull together some friends -- it's a party after all! You may enter as many categories as you like, but you may only submit two screenshots per category!

Solo or Group shots

• Individual Shrew Stompin’ Action Shot -- Take your best action shot during the Stomp-A-Shrew event!
• Snazzy Hat Competition -- Spring is the best time for hats, and we want to see your finest headpieces!

• Kinship Uniform Portraits -- Does your kin have a uniform or dress code?  Get everyone together and snap a portrait for us!
• Couples Celebrating Nature -- Throw off your coats and scarves and get outside!  Enjoy the lush spring landscape of Middle-earth!

Screenshots must be original and unedited (cropping is allowed) and should have a resolution of at least 1024x768.

Here are some tips for taking screenshots:

• The number pad or right mouse button can be used to adjust the camera angle
• You can zoom in to a first-person view with the mouse-wheel
• CTRL-P/Print Screen takes your screenshot
• Screenshots are stored in My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online
• F12 will remove the UI, and N will remove floaty names
