Angry Gold spammers are invading IMs

Evernight. Gold spammers have evolved to the point of spamming directly into people's tells. With that, the problem has officially become intolerable.
Something has to be done now, this is a critical issue that NEEDS to be properly addressed and fixed.

Right-click on the sender name and select Report as Gold Spammer: Poof, they disappear from your feed and a report is filed for you.

We all must do our part have you done your's...

You do understand how much worse it is to have spammers blowing up your IMs with the pings rather than just spamming in World chat, right? This is a much worse, more invasive form of spam.

Yeah, if reporting individual bots fixed the issue I wouldn't be making this thread lmao. Clearly despite reporting for weeks the issue is not being handled and is becoming much more prominent.

Last time they did this going anonymous helped. Though that will raise difficulties with being taken on in groups for raids and instances.
There's some good in this world, and it is worth fighting for.

Why do we have to seek workarounds that further diminish the gameplay experience? I'm really annoyed about how SSG is seemingly just waiting for the problem to disappear. Will they fix it, or will they just wait for the spammers to get bored and leave on their own? Hopefully not, because I imagine a lot of players will be eventually fed up and leave too. Especially those that returned to the game recently and aren't used to the... standards of LOTRO.
