Thread: Offline Tools

    Offline Tools

Ages ago, we had the ability to get a "Developer Key" and use it to download kinship data for our websites. That went away.

In its place is the ability to use LUA to get some ingame data, but it is extremely limited.

Is it going to be possible to get some offline tools again with ingame data? I would love to get a daily XML of kinship membership. I could use that to automatically show on our website "most recent level up" and most recent "new members" and "new promotions" and any number of other things.

The character LUA data could also be expanded to include virtues, line choices, class trait points, etc.

Any improvement would be appreciated. Anything coming?

Maybe you need a new data architect for these kinds of things, to free up your chinchillas for game stuff. (ahem <----------)

Maybe you can make an offline tool that each kin member can run that will upload this info to your kin website? Not as convenient bur it’ll work for those that want to participate.

Looks like they stopped opening the LOTRO API to Lua years ago. Furthermore, other than demo/example plugins, all Lua plugins have been developed by the LOTRO player.
