    The LOTRO Beacon: Issue 132

Thank you for reading the LOTRO Beacon! Don't forget to reply below to the Weekly Comment for your chance to win 500 LOTRO Points! We'll select a random winner after Noon Eastern on Friday, October 18th. Good luck!

    Note from the Editor:

You may know that Oliveyew has been putting together both the Beacon and the other game's weekly newsletter for some time now. An opportunity has led her elsewhere, so I'm back in charge of the Beacon. The Beacon will continue! I am changing its publication date to Friday afternoons, however, to best facilitate the work schedule. Thanks!

Hobbit battle cries are funny, no threat level at all in their cries, usually sounds like a child not getting what they wanted.

We often remember the most heroic battle cries, but they can't all be good. What's an almost-good-enough battl

    "For Frodo..."
I think it's almost nearly borderline acceptable, no?

TIM: He's got huge, sharp-- eh-- he can leap about-- look at the bones!

ARTHUR: Go on, Bors. Chop his head off!

BORS: Right! Silly little bleeder. One rabbit stew comin' right up!

    TIM: Look!

    [squeak]

    BORS: Aaaugh!

    [dramatic chord]

    What's an almost-good-enough battle cry you've heard?

    (Really awesome question this week!)

Basically every Hobnanigans "battle cry" I've heard (including my own) are only almost-good-enough, in that they never really work. And none of them are really appropriate for the forums.

The best battle cry ever spoken is this:

"Go for the eye Boo! Go for the eye!"
