    Any way to 'unpolish' gemstones?

I've been doing some Stonehelm crafting recently.

Stupidly, I polished a bunch of the gems needed at this level of crafting BEFORE looking at the requirements - which need UNpolished gems for most recipes.

Does any one know if they can be returned to an unpolished state?

I did not know this was a thing! It seems a bit unfair, making EVERY recipe normally need a polished stone, then sneaking in recipes with unpolished stones right at the top tier to catch people out. I wonder if it is a mistake...

You can't unpolish them, but it is insanely easy to rack up a lot more. Ore nodes, humanoid mobs, crafter caches from Skarhald dailies..
