If you were organizing a Middle-earth tavern crawl, where would you start and why?

Forsaken Inn. From worst to best

The Laughing Halfling, and not just because of the name, but because I figure that trying to navigate Minas Tirith is a feat best done while relatively sober.

    Weekly Question

Probably just outside of Mordor and work our way back towards the Shire because, to quote Pippin (in the movies, at least), "The closer we are to danger, the further we are from harm."
"...At least it tells us they understand our language; they're just not willing to speak to us in it. -Who knew they were French?"

The Bird and Baby. Because the name was the nickname Tolkien and C S Lewis gave to a real pub they used to drink in: "The Eagle and Child". And that's just cool.

The Bird and Baby Inn because it's the nearest tavern to my house.

The Prancing Pony because it is in the middle of Bree, where it is somewhat centrally located to the epic journey.

The Shire of course, if I have to crawl that close to the ground, might as well be in the Shire with all its pleasantly flowery smells. Who knows, might also find pie crumbs and if lucky a half eaten piece of pie.

The abandoned tavern in the 21st Hall as only the most serious of drinkers will be able to finish this crawl and a pretty much unreachable tavern is the perfect way to test their mettle.

The Pony because it's easy for anyone to come.

    Adso's Camp of course

    I have no idea.

What I can tell you is a suitable price point for a 3 year old expansion is £3.99 not £29.99. £99.99 for extra bonuses is clearly ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as waiting more than a month for a ticket response.

    Thorzhaf.
No better place to grab a cold one than by the fiery Ghashghurm, while watching the pit fights. (Or after winning a few)

Nothing but the best pubs for my boys when we go drinking...
We're skipping The Shire... Far too friendly a place to get drunk.
I posted a whole pub crawl but I'll start at
    The Mad Badger Inn.
...Sure the walls might be charred around the edges but that's fine! They're still open.
It's a place of nostalgia for all adventurers of old. Raise a glass to those who achieved the impossible feat of defeating the Wolf Master,
Pour a pint for all the rumour mongers, boar spearers and spider foes.
A toast to those who can be called "The Wary". And may they be undefeated until at least level 20.
Though the Mad Badger burns... I still hold out hope that this will be the greatest pub crawl.

    Combe and Wattle Inn.
Our friends the Brigands would like a few drinking companions. Also there are chickens!
    Forsaken Inn!
"The fare is poor but it was his favourite place and that's good enough for me." -Radanir
    21st Hall Inn
Deep underground where there's at least a 35% chance of a Goblin raid. But at least there's Dwarves!
    The Haunted Inn.
Who doesn't like drinking with the ghostly spirits of the dead?
    Stangard Tavern
...Or rather outside of Stangard in the ditch pouring bottles of wine we stole from the Elves.
They wouldn't let us actually enter Stangard in our current state
We head up North again after realizing Rohan is a country too vast for drunk peasants to walk and we're too drunk to ride.
There's no taverns in Lothlorien so we head further North... Rambling ainlessly until we reach the rugged lands of the Vales.
We drink and feast in Grimbeorn's lodge and call it a night. We may or may not be savagely murdered by a bear in our sleep but that's just the risk we take.
-Askelin: 120 Warden who has a bear for a wife.

The Green Dragon is where it's at. From there Thorin Oakenshield and his mates set off on the Lonely Mountain quest with a certain "thief" contracted to the company, and that started everything.

In Prancing Pony, the most popular tavern.

Sometimes starting a pub crawl at the most popular bar can be a mis-step, cuz nobody will want to leave if it's really popping' in there.

Then again, it gives people something to do while they're waiting for everyone to show up.
