    I love the scavenger hunts.

I've only been playing for 18 months and last year's anniversary while doing them I completed some geographic deeds and discovered virtues and LOTRO points that I didn't have to use real money to get.
It was an awakening. The virtues increased the survivability of my characters and the points made life better
I've had a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn't it.

The Anniversary Scavenger Hunts, no doubt about it. This year, now that I finally have a character at 120, I decided to go through Year 1 to Year 12, every character tale from Frodo to Gollum to the end of the Scavenger Hunt story. I had never gone past Ithilien, since that's where I was questing last when I ended my subscription, so I decided to ride all the way from the Eastfold to Minas Tirith, from Minas Tirith to Mordor, grabbing travel points and quest steps along the way. I had such a great time riding through all of Middle Earth that I had yet to see, taking time to really take in the world. I'm glad I finally had the time to finish them all, and get many great rewards along the way.
