    Who was Meriadoc Brandybuck?

Pippin & Merry drank large amounts of Ent draught, & both grew to over 4 and a half feet tall..rather tall for hobbits!!

That’s right! Merry grew taller than even the great Bullroarer Took, who was so big he could ride a horse. Your turn!

Hmmm, interesting guess..but I sense a hint is needed this time. This is not from Lord of the Rings, or The Hobbit. Hopefully this helps

Time for a hint..or two!! The pet was no normal pet, but quite unique. It also was written in the esrly '30's, but not published until 1982.
    Seems I found something obscure..again!!

Not sure how to phrase the question... what did the dwarves want to drink at Bag End?

“Some called for ale, and some for porter, and one for coffee, and all of them for cakes; so the hobbit was kept very busy for a while.”

    From The Hobbit
“...and he lived happily ever after, to the end of his days”

    Yeah, you have it.
Sorry for the poor formatting of the riddle. We will get better at this as time goes by.

Haha that’s OK! We don’t have Jeopardy over here so I’m learning as I go - just seen the odd clip in movies

    What is The Outer Void?

The space that exists outside of time in which Ea is housed.

There are obviously a lot of dark places in Middle-Earth (and beyond)

The place I am referring to is in TLOTR, and the passage I am thinking of specifically notes the absence of day.

The “answer” again: A place where there is no day...
“...and he lived happily ever after, to the end of his days”
