    Muddy Foot Day V

Once again friends, April and the nice weather are here! This year's Spring Festival is just wrapping up, we`re in the midst of another weekend of Hobnanigans, and the Anniversary Festival is around the corner. With all festivals and nice weather comes the opportunity to be outside and enjoy wonderful pipe-weeds and ales. And if we're celebrating pipe-weed in the Shire, that must mean it is...

    Muddy Foot Day!

The 2019 edition happens on the Saturday of the Yule-Anniversary Festival, keeping alive the tradition of being one of Crickhollow's best parties during festival season!

On April 20 at 8pm (server time) all Free Folks of Middle-Earth are welcome to join us at the South Field just outside of Michel Delving (35.0S, 75.0W) for a rollicking night of music and celebrating the Shire's wonderful pipe-weeds! This year there will be the signature Muddy Foot and a few other key surprises. To keep your whistles wet, Honey Brew beers will be on hand to remind you that you're having a good time while enjoying sweet sounds of Crickhollow's bands.

In honour of this being an extra special Muddy Foot Day, our last set this year starts at 11:00! Here is our line-up:

    8:00: Mardi Gras Band
    8:30: The Breakfast Club
    9:00: The Teedee's
    9:30: Mushroom Stew
    10:00: DisEnchanted
    10:30: Ghosts N Roses
    11:00: Purple Pipeweed Parlour Band

There are three new bands playing this year's pipe-weed celebration! Join us for a rocking good time on Crickhollow, can't wait to see the Free Peoples of Middle-Earth celebrating in the Shire! See you there!

Spread the words friends, Muddy Foot Day is here! Come for the pipe-weed, stay for the pipe-weed.

It is a very early Sunday morning and if it wasn't for sun and singing birds and the sweet, sweet smell of morning coffee and bacon, I'd still be in bed. But there's yeoman's work to do and a Hobbit's work is never done. But what a party last night. The pipeweed and ale was being freely shared and the Mardi Gras Band kicked the party off with a bang. We were off and running! There is nothing that I can say about the Breakfast Club that hasn't been said elsewhere. It is a pleasure to have them play and can't wait to see what they have in store for next year's celebration! By this point the pipeweed and ale was getting consumed vigorously. First time band the TeeDee's played in quadrophonic surround sound and it was something to see and hear! Another first-time player on Muddy Foot Day, Mushroom Stew was fun and entertaining. Their set was unique and in the crowd sounded awesome. DisEnchanted kicked off the 10:00 hour and they kept the happy and fun vibe of the party going strong. Pipeweed and ales were being consumed everywhere! Ghost N Roses was another new addition to this year's festival and found an extra gear to keep the party dancing and rocking. Pipeweed and ales were still being consumed. The Purple Pipeweed Parlour Band took us home and closed the show with a bang! After their set, which may have gone a bit longer because things like that happen at a concert, a small impromptu jam session may or may not have broken out. I myself may have dozed off underneath the nearby tree a pleasant smile on my face and dreams of smoke rings and full beer steins dancing through my head.

I want to thank all the players who participated last night! From the bands who put in a hero's effort to the folks who showed up to have a great time, without your time and effort Muddy Foot Day is nowhere near the success it always is. Thank you for coming and thank you for sharing in the pipeweed and ale. It was an outstanding party and I'm looking forward to MFD VI
