Is the launcher bugged? Is there a hotfix incoming?

Despite playing the game fine over the last few days. I this evening I have had the "Error 5. Access Denied" popup when trying to launch. Ideas? Tips please.

I have some characters over on Brandywine, so I tested to make sure I could get in. No problems.

From that it sounds like maybe a file access issue. Not sure how that would have happened all of a sudden, but stranger things, right?
