Is LotRO Wiki considered the best and most up-to-date game guide?

    Hi,

Is LotRO Wiki considered the go-to-guide for LotRO coupled with these forums?

    Thank you in advance!

In general, yes. There is information you can't find on lotro-wiki and will have to go elsewhere for, but overall no other guide to LOTRO has even close to the same amount of information.

Some info on Lotro-wiki may be incomplete or not confirmed as the authors base their entries on in-game experience and often too vague dev statements.
Still, it remains the most comprehensive source out there.

For more in-depth approach to gameplay/gear, check Dadi's guides - up to date and uncomplicated http://dadislotroguides.com/

Also, one of the best maps for the game can be found at www.dynmap.ruslotro.com. I use it ALL the time.

Where some of the older quests have been changed in recent updates, the Wiki has yet to be corrected; but in general it is the most useful guide out there.

Case to point for the class quests, where you have to collect various claws, eyes, fingers etc from various L45-50 location mobs; it is now out of date, for LM it gives 4 region where hateful wormeyes can be collected, but in actual fact, they are only being dropped in Angmar - unless yesterdays update restored them.

There IS a beginners .pdf guide buried in the LOTRO folder, but it is so out of date, I swear it is written in Latin. Useful for keyboard short-cuts though.
