Unhappy Win 7 reload now lost Lotro Launcher

How do I regain the Lotro Launcher screen? I don't seem to be able to figure this one out.

I tried to login with the 'free to play' screen but with my regular login but didn't work.

Where can I get this going again to play?

I did login to Forums here but can't get to my account page.

    Thanks for any help.

if so..look in start menu..or go to game folder in Program Files and run Launcher from there

I don't have Lotro or Standing Stone Games on my computer anymore now.

So basically I'd be starting from scratch download.

Only I don't know how to start this so I posted this question in forum because I also tried to go to my account page only nothing happens.

So I need someone to help point me in right direction to get this started?

    Thanks for asking!

I found a link for 'download' which provides the launcher.

I believe the 'game files' are downloading now = 142 files.

maybe this will take awhile! Ha-ha - see you later!

If this is a fresh install of Win7 from the disks, you better go read Hurins "One Guide" as you are going to be missing multiple resources needed to run the game.

yes the guide is aimed at Win10, but is 90% accurate for Win7 as well. Just done a fresh Win7 install myself.

Edit: I did in fact go to the above thread and did most of the list recommended except for one which was optional.

Woohoo - that worked - I had to install the DirectX Web Installer and couldn't find anything like the .NET framework. I'll call the computer shop tomorrow about that.

A REALLY BIG THANKS to Sergio's link and suggestion so I could get playing.

You shouldn't need to hassle your computer shop (especially now that it's working?). .NET 3.5.1 framework is already installed on Windows 7 by default. But, if you want to confirm, here are the steps. . .

    From Control Panel. . .

. . . note that the top-level .NET 3.5.1 box is already filled in. You don't want/need the two sub-items.

    Best,

    H

P.S. Bumps of the "One Guide" thread are always appreciated. The more visibility, the better. Until SSG decides to update/re-script its installer so that such threads are no longer necessary.
