Upgrading account - how many character slots do you *gain* (and not do you *have*)?

    Hello,

if you are f2p, and upgrade to premium, you go from 2 to 5 character slots, in other words, you gain 3 slots.

If you are f2p, and buy a slot, you have 3 slots.
If you now upgrade, do you gain 3 slots, and now have 6 slots, or do you only gain 2 slots, and have thus "lost" your previous purchase of one slot?

Same question for upgrades to vip.

Same questions for the Beorning and Mines of Moria character slots.

    Thanks!

Any slots you buy separately, including the slot in the Beorning bundle and those from the Mines of Moria expansion, are in addition to any you would have normally.
No slots you buy extra will be "lost" if you upgrade your member status (from f2p->premium, or from premium->vip)

In your example you would end up with 6 slots - 5 for being Premium, and 1 extra that you bought.

The two slots extra you gain from being VIP will only be active while you are VIP. So if you cancel your subscription and drop from VIP to Premium you will lose 2 slots (and will get them back if you go VIP again). No characters will be lost however - if you have more characters than slots you will get to choose which characters should be unlocked and which should be locked and unplayable.
