LOTRO CRASHING ON STARTUP (after login but before reaching char screen)

    Hello all.

Ever since 2 days ago, lotro crashes EVERY time after the login at the client but before reaching the character screen.
    I simply cannot play.

I've just done a clean reinstall and the problem persists.
My PC is top-end and didn't change anything prior to this crash.

Here is the crash log, any ideas:

Do you run Discord? I heard yesterday on Twitch that the latest update to Discord has automatically enabled the game overlay and Lotro doesn't like it and crashes straight away. If you turn Discord's overlay off Lotro launches as normal.

If the above isnt true, check your firewall isnt blocking lotro.exe under the Heuristics scan section; this type of block doesnt usually give a warning, but it sounds like you are reaching the place where the game changes which internet protocol it uses, and that oftens trigger a firewall block.
Updates to COMODO firewall have cause this several times for me, and ZoneAlarm has been terrible for random blocking of the game in the past.

Sweet Gods of GPUs and CPUs!
    It worked.

I disabled Discord's overlay and it instantly worked. I'd never have thought on THAT one on my own.

    Ty all!

Yeah, it's an odd one. Glad it got you going again.
