It's the chickens of course! They dig and scratch to till the soil, are great at insect control by eating all the bugs, and fertilize the plants!

Or it's the chickens and whenever they are taking a break some players catch them and they return to work.

The wandering elves do this. Ever since they are lost within the maze they grew a habit to care for it because they finally realized they will never ever permit others to show them the way out and they themselves will not find it.
