The Path of the Company5 Lotro Points, 30 marks, Title : Follower of Thorin and Company, +1 Wisdom, +900 ReP with Dwarves of Erebor
Find the 16 places where the Companyhas passed in the Strongholds of the North :

    1. Where the Company entered Mirkwood (The Forest Gate : 15.7N, 50.9W)Gandalf’s departing words : “DON’T LEAVE THE PATH!”
"O good-bye and go away!” grunted the dwarves, who were secretly filled with dismay at losing him.
    2. Where the Company grew to hate the forest (Eryn Lasgalen, 16.2N, 47.3W)
The nights were the worst. So dark that you could really see nothing.
Well, it wasn’t true that they could see nothing : they could see eyes!
    3. Where Bombur fell into the Enchanted River (16.9N, 39.1W, north of the bridge)
“Bombur has fallen in! Bombur is drowning!”
Bombur slept for days, and dreamt of great Elvish feasts. His memory of their adventures thus far were gone.
    4. Where Bilbo climbed above the trees (Eryn Lasgalen, 16.8N, 36.9W, branch to click by the path)
The sun was shining brilliantly, and it was a while before he could bear it.
He saw all around him a sea of dark green, and hundreds of black butterflies.
    5. Where the Company was lured off the path (Eryn Lasgalen, 17.3N, 37.0W, crossroads)
They were lured off the path by the light of torches.
They saw a gathering of Elves feasting. They ran towards them to beg for food, but as soon as they approached, the Elves vanished!
    6. Where the Company was ambushed by spiders (Eryn Lasgalen, 18.4N, 36.3W, Imnagath)
Bilbo could only see its eyes, but could feel its hairy legs as it struggled to wind webs around him.
He beat the creature off with his hands, until he remembered his sword.
    7. Where Bilbo frees the Company from webs (Eryn Lasgalen, 18.3N, 35.8W, Imnagath)
“I will give you a name. I shall call you Sting.”
Somehow the killing of the great spider, all alone by himself in the dark without the aid of someone else, made a great difference to Mr Baggins. He felt a different person.
    8. Where Thorin was brought before the Elvenking (Felegoth, 48.1N, 127.2W, the bridge before Thranduil’s throne)
“Where are your friends now, and what are they doing?” demanded Thranduil.
Thorin responded: “I don’t know, but I expect starving in the forest!
      "
    9. Where the Company was jailed by the Elvenking (Felegoth, 47.4N, 125.3W, the second northernmost prison on the left)
"I will keep you all in prison until you have learned sense and manners!"
Thranduil ordered the Dwarves to be put in separate cells and ordered them not to be released until one of them told him what he wanted to know.
    10. Where the company stuffed themselves into barrels (Felegoth, 48.7N, 124.7W, the northern cave in the raft-elves area, where the clickable barrel is)
“We shall be bruised and battered to pieces, and drowned for certain!”
When Bilbo explained his plan, the Dwarves started grumbling loudly in spite of their danger.
    11. Where the barrels came ashore near Loeglond (Eryn Lasgalen, 16.1N, 31.8W, north of Loeglond by the edge of the river, in the reeds)
On the shallow shore most of the barrels ran aground.
The Elves were making a raft of the barrels, with the dwarves still inside, and soon would be steering it downstream to Lake-town.
    12. Where Bilbo freed the company from their barrels (13.4N, 29.6W, east of Loeglond)
“Well, are you alive or are you dead?” Bilbo asked Thorin.
“If you want to go on with this silly adventure, you had better slap your arms and rub your legs and try and help me get the others out while there is a chance!”
    13. Where Thorin declared himself before the Master of Lake-town (Dale-lands, Esgaroth-of-old, 14.5N, 28.9W)
“I am Thorin, son of Thrain, son of Thror, King under the Mountain! I return!”
Many of the Lake-men took up song, and it rolled loud and high over the Lake.
    14. Where the Company landed at the top of the Long Lake (Dale-lands, 18.9N, 27.3W)
They knew that they were near to the end of their journey, and that it might be a very horrible end…
None of the men from Lake-town would stay with them even for a night so near the shadow of the Mountain.
    15. Where they scouted the slopes of the Mountain (Dale-lands, 26.9N, 29.1W, north of Raven Hill)
"There lies all that is left of Dale,” said Balin.”
From Ravenhill, they could see the grey ruins of ancient houses, towers and walls.
    16. Where the company found the secret way into Erebor (Dale-lands, 31.8N, 27.8W, Secret Door to Erebor)
The last light of Durin’s day will shine upon the keyhole.
A gleam of light came straight through the opening, and then there was a loud crack. A hole appeared suddenly about three feet off the ground. Thorin put the key from his grandfather’s map into the hole. It fitted and turned! A door five feet high and three broad was outlined, and slowly swung inwards.

Post updated with a few missing coordinates.
I'll have to read some of the Hobbit again to find the missing places in the Path of the Company deed... it's a really tricky deed since nothing apart from the deed text tells you where to go and there's nothing in particular in the spot for the deed (players have more chances to find them while questing and completing an objective by luck than to find them by actively searching for them).

If some of you have found the missing points or other deeds, please note them below

*Where Bombur fell into the Enchanted River (16,9N, 39,1W, north of the bridge)
“Bombur has fallen in! Bombur is drowning!”
Bombur slept for days, and dreamt of great Elvish feasts. His memory of their adventures thus far were gone.

*Where the Company was lured off the path (17,3N; 37,0W, crossroads)
They were lured off the path by the light of torches
They saw a gathering of Elves feasting. They ran towards them to beg for food, but as soon as they approached, the Elves vanished!

*Where the Company is ambushed by spiders (18,4N; 36,3W, Imnagath)
Bilbo could only see its eyes, but could feel its hairy legs as it struggled to wind webs around him
He beat the creature off with his hands, until he remembered his sword.

*Where Bilbo freed the Company from their barrels (13,4N; 29,6W, east of Loeglond)
“Well, are you alive or are you dead?” Bilbo asked Thorin
“If you want to go on with this silly adventure, you had better slap your arms and rub your legs and try and help me get the others out while there is a chance!”

Thanks for write up! Though these deeds appear pretty underwhelming, since the bullroarer notes read: "Accomplish unique goals with new deeds" and these appear to be just the regular old deed we have seen since Gondor, with even smaller rewards.
    The road goes ever on.

Deeds updated, only the (possibly bugged) point in Felegoth's prisons missing.
Thank you Daeross (and the players from the Asylum kin on Sirannon) for the help

I'll check next weekend if there are any changes, and I'll make the maps as soon as actual in-game maps are okay.

Find all the fish trophies in Lake-town

    9. Where the Company was jailed by the Elvenking (47.4N, 125.3W, right beside the word Dungeons)
"I will keep you all in prison until you have learned sense and manners!"
Thranduil ordered the Dwarves to be put into separate cells and ordered them not to be released until one of them told him what he wanted to know.

Players impress me everyday. That there took some effort!

MAWorking had the highest post count on the pre-beta LOTRO forums. He was truly an icon and clearly, hasn't changed a bit. -Meghan/aka Patience

For the Ruins of the North, it would not complete for me until I found an additional location Garthness 20.0N, 29.9W.

Are they serious with another THREE Reputation Factions!!! I certainly hope that they are 85k Factions and not 280k Factions. If I am Kindred, I'm family and don't need to be Respected, Honoured, or Celebrated. Family is all I need.
It is logical, in view of the times in which we live. But to be logical is not to be right, and nothing on God's earth could ever make it right!
