    Best Race for each Class

A simple examination of each potential race for each class with the following conceits:
    1. Each class has a DPS role. Those are listed separately from their other roles (tanking or healing). CC is not counted since none of the boosts for races directly impact CC.
    2. For a DPS role, Damage output is the singular most important criteria. For Tanking, the ability to absorb damage is. For Healing, total healing output is.
    3. After the primary criteria, survivability is the next most important.
    4. No RP reasons will be considered. This is purely a minmaxing thread.
    5. Beorning will not be listed since they are limited to one class.
    6. Race of Man will be shortened to simply "Human" (to avoid gender specificity)
    7. The total benefit of the race will be calculated as High, Medium, or Low. Low indicates that the choice of race is relatively insignificant.

    DPS:
Burglar - Human (Low). All races have daggers at +5%, so no race provides a boost. Humans get significant survivability increases. Hobbits get Hobbit-Silence.
Captain - High Elf (Medium). High Elves gain Light Type damage bonus, improving the damage output from several captain skills (Battle Shout, Routing Cry, Standard, Blade of Elendil, Shadow's Lament, and Noble Mark). Humans get survivability.
Champion - Human (Medium). All roles get some weapon damage, though Elves have the worst (since they do not give an option for 2H). Humans have the highest survivability.
Guardian - Human (Low). All races get some weapon damage, though Elves have the worst (since they do not give an option for 2H). Humans have the highest survivability, and the increased incoming healing. Dwarves have Block chance, so they are 2nd.
Hunter - Elf (High). Only Elves get +5% damage to bows.
Lore-master - High Elf (Low). All races get +5% damage for LM Offhand. High Elves get bonus Will and bonus Light damage (affects few skills).
Minstrel - High Elf (High). All races get a +5% damage for human weapon, but High Elves get bonus Will and bonus Light damage (affects many skills).
Rune-keeper - High Elf (Low). No races get a damage bonus for RK weapons. High Elves get bonus Will.
Warden - Human (High). All races get +5% weapon damage. Humans have the highest survivability, and the increased incoming healing.

    Tanking:
Burglar - Human (High). Parry/Evade chance is highest as a human, plus their incoming healing.
Captain - Human (Medium). Incoming healing and B/P/E boosts.
Champion - Human (Medium). Incoming healing and B/P/E boosts.
Guardian - Human (Low). Incoming healing and B/P/E boosts. Dwarves are second.
Hunter - N/A. You're kiting, so you're still an Elf.
    Lore-master - N/A. It's all about that bear.
Minstrel - Human (Medium). Incoming healing and B/P/E boosts.
    Rune-keeper - N/A. You're kiting.
Warden - Human (High). Incoming healing and B/P/E boosts.

    Healing:
Burglar - N/A. Your healing skills are utterly unaffected by your race choice.
Captain - N/A. Your healing skills are almost unaffected by your race choice. Humans will have a very, very tiny increase to healing output, but it's inconsequential.
    Champion - N/A. You don't heal.
    Guardian - N/A. You don't heal.
    Hunter - N/A. You don't heal.
Lore-master - High Elf (Low). Increase to Will.
Minstrel - High Elf (Low). Increase to Will.
Rune-keeper - High Elf (Low). Increase to Will.
Warden - N/A. Your healing skills are almost unaffected by your race choice.

    Final score:
    Burglar: Human (Medium)
    Captain: Either.
    Champion: Human (Medium)
    Guardian: Human (Low)
    Hunter: Elf (High)
    Lore-Master: High Elf (Low)
    Minstrel: High Elf (Low)
    Rune-keeper: High Elf (Very Low)
    Warden: Human (High)

    A: So play a Dwarf.

Q: But I want to play a Hobbit!
    A: So play a Hobbit.

most of warden dps is light damage, so high elf offers the best damage option.

    I would like to add/modify:
    8. Some min-maxing players draw the line at making multiples of the same class (yes i know it's not true min-maxing then, but i digress...)
Therefore, I'm modifying the list for overall best race for the class taking into account all trees/roles

Burglar - Human (High). All races have daggers at +5%, so no race provides a boost. Elves have a tiny Agility boost, so they will do the most damage, but only barely. Humans get significant survivability increases. Hobbits get Hobbit-Stealth, but burgs already have a better stealth. Parry/Evade chance is highest as a human, plus their incoming healing.
Captain - Human (High). High Elves gain Light Type damage bonus, improving the damage output from several captain skills (Battle Shout, Routing Cry, Standard, Blade of Elendil, Shadow's Lament, and Noble Mark). Humans get survivability. Incoming healing and B/P/E boosts.

Hunter - Elf (High). Only Elves get +5% damage to bows.
Lore-master - High Elf (Low). Human is a close second due to increased incoming healing and +5% max morale buff to raid. All races get +5% damage for LM Offhand. High Elves get bonus Will and bonus Light damage (affects few skills).
Minstrel - High Elf (Human). Incoming healing and B/P/E boosts. All races get a +5% damage for human weapon, but High Elves get bonus Will and bonus Light damage (affects many skills).

Warden - Human (High). All races get +5% weapon damage. Humans have the highest survivability, and Incoming healing and B/P/E boosts.

For this humans have a ####ty race panic.
If they Boot Block to the same value as the sum of pbe from humans. Dwarfes would win on tanking.

Maybe, but humans still get that +5% incoming healing, and I cannot overstate how important that is, especially right now.

    My thought

Warden: high elf (light damage, run speed) or man (inc healing, block parry evade)
Minstrel: man, hobbit, dwarf or high elf. There are solid motives for each.
Man: bpe, Inc healing, but no emergency skill
High elf: extra light damage for pvmp or solo play
Hobbit: extra agro drop feign death
    Dwarf: 10 second immortality, block

Hunter: emergency skill of hobbit and dwarf are potentially good.
