    Exclamation Abyss of Mordrath FRAMERATES!

I'm going to keep this super short and sweet:

12 of the 12 people in our raid run last night were complaining of insane frame-rate hits due to the "Escort Vitals" showing all buffs and debuffs in real time, a problem widely known to massively reduce performance.

It is literally unplayable for some people in this state, on a very powerful machine I was getting 2-7 FPS for entire fights, and some parts of the 2nd boss (when he does the AOE LoE Fear debuff) totally freeze all of our systems at the same time.

This is utterly ridiculous and needs to be fixed. At the very least, give us an option to remove those vitals entirely so we can't be lagged out by them, frankly they don't add anything to the fight at all in my opinion.

    I can just agree here.
Every time the first mini boss(the sulokil) died lagg was horrible for some People.
I tried a lot with Options, grafic Settings,dx9,10,11 and nothing worked.

And ist defo not an Internet/pc Problem.

Have you tried upgrading your RAM and defragging your SSD?

HUH? Defragging SSD? Defragging is more to do with HDD's not SSD's. I'll suggest you educate yourself by reading this

We had exactly the same issue.
At the point when the sulokil dies in a blood pool and the priestess aplies "blood sickness", framerate dropped for most raid members to a level that made it next to unplayable.

Never defrag an SSD. All it does is wear it out sooner.

Hard disks need to be defragmented because it takes a while to move the read head across the disk (seek time), and more fragments means more seeking.

SSDs are flash memory based, so the seek time is zero. However, flash memory has a finite number of writes before it wears out. (The SSD has some spare flash memory in it, but that's finite, too.)

If you're using Windows XP, then you may have to occasionally "TRIM" the SSD, using a utility from the manufacturer's web site. But never use a defrag program on it.

Actually, defragging an SSD can kill it if you use the wrong defrag program.

OP didnt say what server, but Evernight has been running huge glitches for weeks; hopefully the pending server restart will help - although the LAST restart didnt do any good at all.

2-7 fps would be a boon in some of the fights I have been in recently; the whole game basically keeps locking up and you dont know if you are alive or dead until it suddenly unlocks again 3-10 seconds later.

Well since they are posting about the new raid and its on Bullroarer its safe to assume he's doing the raid on bullroarer server.

Sorry, my new med combo is messing up my brain even more than the old lot; although the bit about defragging SSDs is correct - I killed an early one using M$'s built in defragger by accident.

I suggest you learn when someone is being facetious.

Yeah, there are a number of fights in the game that this has been an issue but with the latest 9000000 poly count content and incredible inefficiency of the game, tied with an unprecedented number of buffs and debuffs associated to every single mob (despite the fact that SSG are fully aware this causes intense lag spikes) makes this borderline unplayable. I mean I can do the fight, but it's not enjoyable at all.

To add insult to injury, they even put Escort Vitals for the 2nd boss (and 3rd too I bet lol) despite the fact that he's not a "twins" type boss for which (other than actual escorts) I can actually see the escort vitals windows being (almost) useful.

I'm bummed, they only do DDR4 and I wanted some more DDR2 for my daughters Xeon set up.
