    Who we are/are not

    CREEPS

"Creeps" is an exclusive Monster Player Tribe on Arkenstone
currently welcoming new character members of all classes rank 5 and up.
The active roster is growing, with players from all over the world
including America, Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Russia, South Korea, and Turkey.
    All members enjoy officer status,
and are able to invite others to the tribe at will.
A Discord server and channels are available.

The tribe upholds integrity and fair gaming practices
    by discouraging players from joining
who also maintain ranked Freeps on the same server.

Players who support the game by way of their subscriptions are appreciated,
and this is especially true with ranked Freeps,
because they afford an opportunity by which all can and do enjoy Player vs Player gameplay.

More often than not, however, when players "cross over" to Creepside
they maintain loyalties to players they otherwise know and group with on Freepside.

Similarly, players are often not able to separate their disdain
for those players whose characters they are used to competing against.

The purpose for discouraging players from playing both sides on the same server
is to foster trust and unity among players
while also disparaging unnecessary drama and animosity.

While it is recognized that Arkenstone has become the prefered PvMP server for all players,
the hope is that if players choose to separate their time and allegiances,
that they do not make a point of it in Tribe Chat or any other group setting.
Using the Creep OOC Channel for the purpose of airing grievances
related to unfavorable experiences while on Freepside, for example, is disruptive.

Logging into tribe (or onto any Creep character for that matter)
in order to see who is on before alting over to a Freep character is deplorable.

Switching to Freepside with the intention of joining the "winning" side
and thereby securing the best opportunity for points is unacceptable.

    Operating 2 accounts simultaneously
by using the Creep character in order to monitor the OOC channel,
or actually scout the map on Creep and report back to Freepside
and in so doing gain an imagined tactical advantage for a Freep character is unforgivable.

In short,no Flippers, Farmers, or Spies.

Wouldn't it be better so that you guys have a better understanding of the side you are fighting? I see that with Creep/Freep mains a lot- complaing about mechanics they don't understand.

Noted. You are a knowledgeable player and I appreciate what you are saying. I myself have ranked level capped Freeps. Just not on the same server.

I agree with you completely. The unrealistic spying by those who log onto one side and monitor OOC or even join raids while keeping in contact with friends on the other side is deplorable.
Its why I can't get a single member of my kin to go out to the moors anymore.

Best of luck in your endeavor

I'm sure that helps. Best of luck with your Tribe- may you bring Landroval better Pvp than it's had in the past!

The title of this thread is "Creeps: exclusive tribe on Arkenstone"...

The superior Thegreatblackwarg apologizes on Spilo's behalf for him dropping the ball once again.

Exclusivity and elitism is always funny in lotro. Who are you competing against, a grand total of 3-4 other tribes? It's like winning a backgammon tournament at a retirement home.

Karnage would win that backgammon tournament anyway.

I'm giving some thought of transferring to Ark, one of my toons anyway, the price of transfers being ridiculous, I may take advantage of this current double bonus points offer though.

I'd encourage you not to spend the money. The PvP is predominantly focused on shuffling at Lugz and Grams, or TR and GV. The Russians are largely supporting the server with numbers on both sides during daytime hours in NA. NA primetime hours are largely 3:1 creeps camping freeps somewhere near a back door or one shots. Sometimes it's the other way around, but gameplay is largely centered around the backdoor of TR or LG regardless of numbers. Raids are largely becoming camping one side or the other or just getting organized in the shuffle between GV/TR or Grams/LGs. Very little open field fights are fun due to lag, zergs on either side, or just out of group support on creeps with wargs or freep with burgs.

A lot of wargs rushing to tag a target to scrape up points. Burgs on the other side are the same. Despite perceived discrepancy of balance, the incentive to play Freep still isn't great enough to get more players on their freeps. Even if they're all hunters and burglars supported by minstrels and bears along the shuffle, the freeps are greatly outnumbered everywhere they go. Therefore, what we're seeing is raid vs. raid is now more and more routinely shuffling. Small group is largely shuffling also because creeps map in and zerg the #### out of anything that moves around the map.

Doesn't take l9ng for everything to lead to a camp at Lug's rez or at Glan Vraig . Just a gaggle of Black Arrows, Defilers, and Weavers supported by a metric #### ton of wargs everywhere in small packs. Largely duos, trios, and in 4s swarming around the camps. Again, burgs are very similar in their ways, and I'm convinced more and more that many of the wargs and burgs are the same players that just switch sides depending on point productivity and abundance. Easier targets, etc.

Based on some of your comments in another thread with regard to *cough* Casi and the burgs tagging along with him, it sounds like you already landed on Ark?

I have indeed, and believe me, what other players are describing as shuffles or camps is infinitely preferable to being the only player on both sides roaming around the moors for 3 days on the trot, as was the case recently on Crick. I even went afk unstealthed at GV for about 30 minutes or so to find a coldfells scout making zero impression on me when I returned, no I wouldn't complain about a populated moors, an empty moors is far more deplorable.

It is quite normal for Casinoari to unleash his in-game frustrations out on random people. If I talked as much trash as he did, then get eviscerated in-game by the people to whom I was trash-talking, I would be mad too.

    THE TRIBE:

CREEPS is a steadily growing Lotro Monster-Play tribe on the Arkenstone with players having joined from all over the world including America, Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Russia, Scotland, South Korea, and Turkey. By name, the tribe was originally thought to best represent the elusive and threatening nature of the Warg Stalker class (Playing a Warg as one's main character can and should greatly affect how other Creep classes are approached). CREEPS is an inclusive tribe, however, and all classes are welcomed. All character members ranks 5 and up (or 30 days) enjoy officer status also, and are able to invite others to the tribe at will. Our Discord server is open to all Monster-Players, and additional channels and benefits are available to members.

In an effort to foster trust and unity among players while also disparaging unnecessary drama and animosity, the CREEPS tribe upholds integrity and fair gaming practices by discouraging flippers, farmers, and spies from its midst. Being recognized that Arkenstone has become the preferred PvP server, IF members choose to play both sides on the same server, they should do it without conflict of interest, and without maintaining allegiance or showing favoritism to opponents. Conversely, players should not refrain from helping another character on their side because they harbor disdain for the player of that character, being a result of otherwise fighting against them.

    GUIDELINES:

The following standards serve as measures in determining when severance from the tribe may be deemed appropriate:

(1.) Flipping. Switching from one side to another with the intention of joining the "winning" side and thereby secure the best opportunity for points.

(2.) Flipping. While sharing experiential knowledge of the opposition's character class mechanics in order to educate other players may appear helpful, too much banter about your Freep characters, their encounters, opponents, etc., warrants caution.

(3.) Farming. Only playing creepside to collect commendations for freep characters, or using creep characters in order to rank up freep characters.

(4.) Spying. Playing both sides at the same and simultaneously using a secondary account for the purpose of seeing who is on, in order to monitor the OOC channel, or actually scout the map before reporting back to whichever side.

(5.) Trolling. Crossing over to the opposite side and airing grievances related to unfavorable PvMP experiences.

(6.) Cheating. Whether by way of tribe chat, a group or raid setting, etc., the admission or boasting of unethical gaming practices regarding unfair advantages made over opponents, irrespective of server.

    ACTIVITY:

Social exchanges and pleasantries are always secondary to playing the game and should never inhibit such. When combat commences focus is imperative. Nevertheless, real life always comes first. Should you drop from a group or raid, or log out suddenly without saying anything, it will always be assumed that something external pulled you away from the game. And while the notification of any extended absence is appreciated, it is not expected. Members will not be punished or suffer neglect for inactivity.

    TO JOIN:

To join contact any member in game, respond to this post, or send a private message here on the forum.
