    HELP! Cannot Redeem Codes for Beacon Free Sample

    This has now happened a second time, so I am posting about it. I cannot redeem the codes from the Beacon in the ingame LOTRO Store. I have been copying and pasting them, and then tried typing them in by hand, nothing works! I get an error message in red that says "Please enter a valid coupon code..." The Beacon code this week is NOMNOM! and it does NOT work. Can anyone please help me with this? The Contact Us for Customer Support link in the store is still dead- not very heartening.

    PS- The links in the stickies don't work! http://archive.lotro.com/support/ is dead.

    Quick question... are you typing in the exclamation mark ("!")? If you are, just try "NOMNOM" on its own.
    The code definitely works, I tried it on my 2nd account yesterday.

    The reason it is archived is that it is dead Jim. That link goes to Warner Brothers support which no longer exists. You need to go here:

    create a Standing Stone Games web account. Verify it. Submit a email ticket.

    Eventually SSG will fix all these worthless links. Google will eventually forget them - longer present them as search results - instead present SSG results.

    Thank you, Ranatuor_Erutron! That did the trick!

    I would be a bit embarrassed that I didn't think of that, but in my humble defense if you look at the Beacon page it sure looks like the exclamation point is part of the code, especially since the phrase 'Nomnom' describes vigorous eating. Then there is this bit, from the error message: "Please enter a valid coupon code. A coupon code may contain Latin letters, numbers and symbols '-', '_' " -I figure that includes exclamation marks! Oh well, I am just happy to have my complimentary Dale Men's Crams, they make a fine second breakfast!

    Thank you, Yula_the_Mighty for the helpful information and link. Now that you mention it, I did know about the change, since my VIP subscription money is now going to Standing Stones- jut didn't think of that, and have a pet peeve against dead links, especially in 'official' posts. I'm sure it takes time for them to get caught up. I do think they should make getting the customer service link on the store fixed a priority, had there been real money involved I would have been most unhappy to see that. I hope Standing Stones does a great job with our beloved LOTRO, I am rooting for them.
