    QUEST: Book 12 Chapter 1 and 2
    CATEGORY: Epic
    JOURNAL LEVEL: 50
    JOURNAL ICON: Full Fellowship
    ACTUAL LEVEL: 50
    ACTUAL ICON: Solo
    REASONS:
Chapter 1 is just run/walk/ride/port from Tal Bruinen to Evendim and talk to Calenglad. You hardly need a full group for this, even though the wilds are a dangerous place.
Chapter 2 is go to Annuminas and search a dead body... of a normal or signature (or that Nemesis if you want ). Again easily soloable.

    QUEST: Lilies in the Valley
    CATEGORY: Trollshaws
    JOURNAL LEVEL: 36
    JOURNAL ICON: Solo
    ACTUAL LEVEL: 38
    ACTUAL ICON: Small Fellowship
REASONS: To get to the lily in question, you have to pass through an area of level 37-38 bog lurkers (some stealthed) that usually pull in pairs and each summon roots that do damage during combat. The lurkers are so close together that adds are almost inevitable, if not during combat then while you're still recovering. Running is not an option because of the root, and you're usually surrounded so B/P/E is not that useful. And the respawn rate is rather high.

Might have been mentioned before, but since I'm doing the quest now, I figured I'd mention it again

    QUEST: Well-prepared (Lone Lands)
    CATEGORY:

    JOURNAL ICON: Solo
    ACTUAL LEVEL: 28

REASONS: This isn't a hard quest, and so I can see why it's listed as a level 26, but you're collecting drops from level 28 and 29 Boars which if taken at 26 can be quite deadly. Either the boars should be dropped a few levels, or the quest level should go up, just so things match up a little better and a new person knows what they're getting into.

This quest is very difficult, even at higher levels. You are easily swarmed by multiple Crawlers and they are able to root and swarm you with no hope of escape. This is especially difficult for Lore-masters, minstrels, and other squishy classes.

If you can get past aggroing seven mobs at once and not dying, and then if you can take on Andy Idden, his wolf, and another goblin at anything below LV38, then I would be extremely surprised. This quest used to be at its proper level when a crack in the wall allowed you to jump over it, allowing you easy access to Andy Idden and his wolfhound. Now we're forced to try and some how get past seven goblins that will gang bang you to death, followed by another goblin that you pull aggro with when you aggro Andy Idden.

The quest is now a joke. I still can't do it at LV37 with my Hunter.
Glad to see this quest hasn't been touched. Great job, guys!

I imagine a Hunter could pull it off, too. Other option is to fall off the cliff to the east--which I actually did prior to doing the quest, and I managed to survive. It's doable--you just need to work it right and not barrel through.

Note: I am a 50 guard- I could eventually grab the aggro off the bull, but he is pretty fragile, and inevitably another peikko would show up when I was blinded. A 50 burg helped, and the bull still died the first time the two of us tried it. The other problem we had was there is no time between waves to recover...these peikkos are fast! Definitatly not solo.

REASONS: I've tried this with two level 10 burglars, each riddling one Sergeant, and had two other random players join in on the battle, and we still had a defeat. Then I tried with a level 10 captain with herald, ran away with my tail tucked between my legs three or four times before giving up. There are four Blackwolds guarding that lockbox. Three, minimum, can be pulled at one time and that includes the Blackwold Sergeant who can stun and caltrops you. The NPC levels are between 8 and 9! I just don't see how anyone of that level can be expected to successfully clear that camp without plenty of help, or unless someone has already cleared it.

Another example of quest design where you have to fite a L47 Sig who is guarded by another
L47 Sig who is guarded by 2 L47 patrols.
You have to fite the 2 L47 sigs at once, and at some time during the fite , the L47 patrols will join in.
If you kill the 2 L47 patrols first, and then take on the L47 sigs, the insane respawn rate has the patrols respawning whilst you are fiting the 2 L47 sigs.
Maybe possible for a class who can mez / stun but not possible for a Captn.
A lot of qsts in this game would benefit from fixing the insane respawn rates.

I completely agree with this. Even if you clear all of the "normal" Piekko out before you start this quest, they respawn too quickly and ADD to the number of targets you have to deal with. In 5 attempts, 4 of those resulted in there being 6 Piekko to deal with at one time because the Bull pulled respawning Peikko as he exited the valley.

I disagree. If you go south of the swamp and come up next to the mountainside you only get pulls of 1-2 and can easily solo it. Charging through the swamp solo is a suicidal mistake. Good for learning to scout and pick your approach.

I was about to post the same thing. My 48 GRD with a 47 Min could not quite do this the first time. We got peikko, worms and bears in the area aggroing in addition to the quest mobs. The signature at the end with 4 others (probably 2 were quest and 2 were just in the area) was too much with us already out of power from the 3 previous waves with no breaks to recover. Probably by clearing the path first and eating some regen food we could have done it, but no way is it a solo quest.

This is the Garudan Camp in the far SE of Misty Mountains.
I thought that Turbine was going to fix the insane respawn rate of the Mobs here.
Im a L49 Captain and I still cannot kill the Mobs fast enuf to stop then respawning
    directly behind me.
There are simply far too many mobs in the area for a Solo Player to have any chance of getting to the baskets without being mobbed by dogs and Garudans.

Re: Reported Quest Difficulty Levels and Recommendations

Forochel, The Wayward Bull. Same experience as previous posters, the quest is much too difficult. I tried solo once and died quickly from the swarm of piekko's. Then teamed up with a 49 LoreMaster (I was a 49 Hunter) and we tried it twice and were wiped out both times at the end.

I had good armor, good weapons, and buffed up with foods, hope, etc. I had no problem soloing piekko's in general, they often did not do more than scratch me and I could dispatch them in 4 or 5 hits. But when they swarmed my hunter, I was overwhelmed. I got about half the mobs killed before they got me.

As-is, this quest needs a strong tank to grab agro from the swarm to protect the elk or whatever it is, and minstrel to keep him alive, and one or two support for damage or crowd control. So its totally a group quest, which is kinda dumb since it would take less than two minutes to complete. The elk or moose or whatever does not travel very far. Hardly worth getting everyone together.

Re the wayward bull I thouroughly agree with previous posts.
Way too difficult for a solo player.
The general problem with quest ratings in this game is that it seems far too simplistic.
ie a qst will be classed as solo and a level of xx simply if the mobs you have to fight are level
    xx.
No consideration is given to how many you may have to fight at once.
For a qst to get a group classification, it seems to need at least 1 or more elites amongst the mobs that have to be fought.

Id really like to know also whether the Devs actually test the qsts themselves and with what classes before releasing them.

REASONS: The problem is not the level or the icon. This is supposed to be a solo quest, since it's only a signature dourhand you have to kill. The problem is that near that dourhand there is a troll that patrols the area. And no matter what I do, the troll always shows up and teams up with the dourhand in the middle of the fight, wich forces me to flee.
    So either:

    1- Remove that troll;
    2- Make the troll stationary so it doesn't patrol and aggroes players;
3- Change the icon to small fellowship.

Options 1 and 2 are preferred in my opinion.

I have managed this quest solo on many different classes... Guardian, Lore-master, Captain, Burglar, Minstrel...

The trick is to wait for one to wander off to the side. Proximity aggro him, and hopefully he'll bring one of the others as an add. If not, then you're fighting 3 after you kill him.

    Solo'd it on-level as a captain.

    QUEST: Enfeebling the Foe
    CATEGORY: Lone-lands
    JOURNAL LEVEL: 20
    JOURNAL ICON: Solo
    ACTUAL LEVEL: 20
    ACTUAL ICON: Small Fellowship
REASONS: Ok, it's possible I've not got the right idea of this quest, as I've not actually completed it yet. But I sent my level 20 minstrel into the goblin camp, avoiding outlying guards, headed towards one of the bunch of tents with a group of 3 goblins in it, attacked them and while I was attacking them another two patrolling goblins attacked me! Tried to run away from the 5 attacking goblins and drew all the nearby solo mobs around (there's a lot!), died without finding a single barrel. Did it again and died the same way. Do I need other people to help, or am I going about it the wrong way?

If it's the quest I'm thinking it is, then it is soloable, but a second (or third) person helps a lot! There's one barrel that is an almost guaranteed 3+ mob pull, and that wipes me at least once every time I try to solo it. You can solo the rest by killing the solo mobs around the camps so you have some room, then picking away at the patrols and working your way in... or wait for a group to do that escort quest there, they'll clear the place out for you

Another trick if you get a multi-pull is to fear one, then run away without hitting the others. Since you didn't do them any damage they'll disengage pretty quick and you'll only have the feared mob after you. Nice way to break up clusters.

But I agree, it should probably be listed as a small fellowship, that way the group can even try that escort while they're there.
