    16.5 Patch Notes

    Anyone notice that the U16.5 patch notes disappeared from the forums?

    Hmm, the U16.5 notes are not visible for me, either. That said, I doubt that we will see U17 patch notes tomorrow. If the update for tomorrow is what I think it is, then I think the 16.5 notes will be reposted, possibly as 16.5.1 notes.

    Tomorrow's update is not Update 17.

    It is another update 16.x to launch the new in-game store that we tested last week.

    Update 17 will be tested publicly on Bullroarer first when the time comes, but that time has not yet arrived.

    If you check the wiki U16.5 was in August 26 ( http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Upda...ugust_26,_2015 ) and U16.4 was August 19 (http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Upda...ugust_19,_2015).

    But now Turbine is calling the August 26 patch (originally U16.5) as "U16.4.1" ( https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthr...31940%7CUpdate ).

    I think, now, that you're correct. My live client's version numbers start with 1604. The recent BR's testing client's numbers start with 1605. Maybe that was a typographical error that has been corrected.

    The 16.5 release notes don't mention anything about the new shop. I guess it's not ready for the public yet.

    This is correct. I did some wrong numbering on the last update notes and had to change it to reflect what the right numbers are.

    i would like to know as well......for example ppl were opening gift of valar on lower level toons and sending virtues level things to their capped power leveled toons..is this addressing this ?

    I think a partially opened package is when you open a package which contains more than 1 items but don't have enough room in your inventory, so for example you have only 2 empty slots but the package has 5 items; so 2 items will go to your inventory, rest will remain in the box. Theoretically, if the box is unbound, you could still sell it.

    If you open a lootbox but don't have inventory space for everything the remainder of the items will stay inside the box but the box will be unlocked. I wager that's what it means.

    using package in the release notes ....lazy and vague . just make reference to what it is , because iirc i don't recall any item in game called "package"

    Does anyone know if the Hunter bow problem was fixed in this update? The one where once you are done using your bow and he/she puts it onto your back the bow string line still appears by your hand. This has made me not even want to play my hunter. Very annoying graphical bug. Any update would be appreciated! Thanks.

    I can verify that this does NOT mean hobbit armor boxes. Those remain BtA even if you open them to look at the list and close it again without picking.
    If you give away gold bars, someone will complain they're too heavy.

    It had better not mean the boxes with the stat boosts either. Either from the hobbit gifts or the store. I also hope this does not refer to loot boxes, as if everything in them became bound to the character once opened, the key sales in the store would plummet.

    Okay, opened a couple of loot boxes, making sure I didn't have enough inventory space. The patch note is poorly worded, I believe. The box itself became bound, but the items I pulled from it did not. I can't speak for stat boxes because that's a rare beast and I don't have enough keys to try for it.

    I think this means you can't unlock a box for someone else and then send it to them with items still in it?
    If you give away gold bars, someone will complain they're too heavy.

    Re: partially opened packages: I am suspecting that if a package or lootbox or whatever contains a "unique" item, and that item is also in your inventory, that the item will REMAIN in the box/container. If the box/container remained tradeable, you would now be able to say: "Lookie here, I have this here unique item in a non-bound box that I couldn't take, and I will sell the box to you for 500 gold!"

    You can do this without the update. Just run under the floating entrance and you zone in.

    Also happens to some windows not part of plugins, e.g. selection list for chosing the tier of relics to be combined at the relic master, the color pick list for cosmetic equipment and the 'sort by' drop down menu at the auction house. Seems to be an unwanted side effect.
