    IE7 banner in the footer

Lorebook looks cool and useful, but what's with the tacky IE7 button on the footer? Is microsoft paying turbine to add that in there?

Reminds me of all those cluttered browser compat buttons on ugly geocities websites back in the 90s.

Lorebook works fine from firefox and other web browsers (as it should!). Get rid of the icon...

Educated guess here, but LotRO is a Windows Certified game.

also to suggest that you use IE7 as apposed to IE6, so you can see the site properly with CSS Scripting etc.

Well with non-standard CSS scripting. *wink*

And some of us hate anything derived from Netscape.

I'm yet to have any problems with Internet Explorer...

More people still use IE than every other browser suite out there combined.

I switched to Firefox for a few years when it came out. It's a great program and will remain so, but when IE7 came out, it offered me everything that Firefox had offered to pull me away from IE6.

Don't be a close-minded Microsoft hater. Other companies will use that against you just as you claim Microsoft does to those who use their product.

If Fx is Firefox on that table it would seem to indicate that Firefox is more popular than IE7 by a margin of over 50%, if we're going to be clever with how we're presenting stats**

I happen to like FF but that's not the point for our purposes. I'd ask (and hope) that Turbine would provide browser-neutral code and let the game call up the users' system default browser instead of always trying to call up IE (when, for example, submitting /bug reports, or going forward when using a browser in-game to access the lorebook or Encyclopedia of Arda content).

I wasn't being clever at all. You're trying to be, but failing.

I compared IE's userbase as a whole to that of Fx as a whole, meaning all versions of each suite.
