    Muddy Foot Day!

    Hello Crickhollow!

On Monday, April 20 at 8pm (server time), join the free folk of Middle Earth under the Party Tree in Hobbiton for Muddy Foot Day celebrations!

What is Muddy Foot Day, you ask? Well Muddy Foot Day is THE Hobbit celebration of the different pipeweeds grown in the Shire. There will be plenty of pipeweed (Muddy Foot, Tighfield, Roper's Choice to name a few), ales, music, songs, dancing and stories for everyone to partake in.

All are welcome! Come share your favourite pipeweed, ale and travel story with so many other Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves and Men of Middle-Earth. A good time is guaranteed to be had by all. And if you're not having a good time, have another ale and pouch of pipeweed and all will be wonderful! Happy adventuring!

Well it is a bleary Tuesday morning afterwards and I have to say the inaugural Muddy Foot Day celebrations at the Party Tree last night in Hobbiton was nothing but a success! We had many adventurers join us for a respite at the Party Tree, indulging in much pipeweed and Shire brews! The event was marked by repeated launching of fireworks, dancing, sharing many pouches of Muddy Foot pipeweed and tankards of Wooly Foot Stout.

Many thanks go out to our Crickhollow entertainers: Firebrands, Breakfast Club and Fraggle Rock for their outstanding concert sets and Miss Twynk for her hilarious spoken word interlude. Special thanks goes out to Keredwyn for growing the Muddy Foot and Tighfield pipeweed that was enjoyed by all at last night's festivities.

But without the many free folk of Middle Earth who came to the Party Tree last night, Muddy Foot Day wouldn't have been near the success that it was. And for that, thank you fellow travellers!

Until the next Muddy Foot Day, safe travels and remember to stop into the Shire Homesteads, 5 Brookbank Street in Weedhallow. Even if I'm not home, make yourself comfortable. The door is open!

((Oh and because I was too distracted by other things, I completely forgot to take any pictures of this event. If anyone took any screenshots of the show, feel free to post them))

Well I have a wonderful update for Muddy Foot Day. All of our bands have confirmed and the lineup has taken shape. Remember, festivities are at the Party Tree at 8pm (server time) on April 20. It's a wonderful way to celebrate the Shire's many fine offerings of ales and pipe-weed!

    Our lineup looks like this:

    8:00p The Firebrands
    8:30p The Breakfast Club
    9:00p The Belle Tones
    9:30p Firefoot Bluegrass Band
    10:00p Fraggle Rock

We'll once again be offering some of the finest Muddy Foot, Old Toby and Longbottom Leaf (and maybe some Dragon's Breath and Egale's Nest thrown in for measure) for your enjoyment.

Don't forget to take pictures and post them here afterwards!

The sun has set and reappeared and the Party Tree is no worse for wear. We had a great show and lots of good folks showed up to enjoy many pouches of pipe-weed and mugs of ale. This year's selection of pipe-weed was Muddy Foot and Longbottom Leaf, and the Ale of choice this year was Shire Spiced. Many smoke rings filled the air and much revelry was had. It rained and there was some lightning but also we got a rainbow, a fire-breathing dragon showed up, there was a Hobbit was wandering around with a keg on his back, a couple of young Hobbits enjoyed themselves way too much (probably because of the keg-wearing Hobbit), lots of fireworks exploded, and you could even see some weird green hats throughout the crowd (it's almost like they were given away).

Special thanks to the Firebrands, Breakfast Club, Belle Tones, Firefoot Bluegrass Band and Fraggle Rock. Special thanks also to the many, many players who made the journey to the Party Tree last night, I hope you enjoyed the show! This was our second Muddy Foot Day and it was a great time. And better yet, Muddy Foot Day happened right before our next festival, a perfect pre-celebration!

We'll see you at next year's Muddy Foot Day party!

Muddy Foot Day 2017 - the third edition!

Friends, April is almost upon us and the nice weather is coming! This year's Spring Festival is just wrapping up, and there will soon be another weekend of Hobnanigans, in which we can chase chickens! With the nice weather comes the opportunity to enjoy wonderful pipe-weeds and ales. And if we're celebrating pipe-weed in the Shire, that must mean it is....

The return of Muddy Foot Day! The 2017 edition!

On April 20 at 8pm (server time) all Hobbits, Men, Dwarves and Elves are welcome to join us at the Party Tree in Hobbiton for a rollicking night of music and celebrating the Shire's wonderful pipe-weeds! This year there will be the signature Muddy Foot with some Old Toby too. To keep your whistles wet, Honey Brew beers will be on hand to remind you that you're having a good time while enjoying sweet sounds of the bands. A couple of new bands to this year's celebration include the Misty Mountain Hobs and the Mithril Moon Band!

Spread the words friends, it's only three weeks until celebration day! Come for the celebration, stay for the pipe-weed.

Well last night's Muddy Foot Day celebration was an outstanding success! The six bands played their hearts out and lots of Muddy Foot was enjoyed by all the Free People of Middle-Earth. Last year's celebration kicked off the Spring Festival and this year we kicked off the Anniversary Festival. Muddy Foot Day is turning into a real festival kick off event! Thank you to all the bands who put together an outstanding selection of music and songs. Thanks to the many Hobbits, Elves, Dwarves and Men and Women who made last night a resounding success! See you around Middle-Earth!
