    Ettenmoors weekend?

Has there ever been any consideration to having a Free Ettenmoors weekend to encourage more PvP action? Maybe to entice people to become VIP to enjoy the moors? Just curious. Without more End Game raids, the PVP content could be revitalized with a simple free access weekend.

I'm just saying that I love this game and have been playing since 2008 and i'm currently VIP, but I have 4 100's that are pretty well equipped and without more Moors action, I find it difficult to log on most nights.
I love my kin and we PvP, but most nights its like a pickup basketball game, where you pick teams and some of us go creep and other go freep and we kill each other in the moors. There is no more end game content to keep us busy.

Maybe a Free Ettenmoors Weekend would encourage others who may not have ever been out there to check it out.
Yes, they wlll get "rolled" without Audacity gear, but they will get a taste and some may stay on.

Regarding the free ettenmoors weekend, I have to say that I doubt very much if it would work.
Bear in mind that players spend a long time earning commendations to buy the audacity gear and without it players would not stand a chance against the creeps.

Anyone going there on a free weekend would be dead in just a few seconds without the audacity armour and rather than encourage more players do play there,
I fear it will deter them.

We all went there at one time or another with our normal landscape gear when we first started playing the moors but within a month or so we had all/most of our audacity gear.
We all knew we were gonna get killed at first, but also knew it was only a matter of weeks before most players had full audacity armour. But also please bear in mind
that we were already VIP and it did not cost us anything to go there and try it, so if someone goes there on one of these free weekends and dies over & over again without ever killing
a creep, do you really think they would then pay the extra money to become VIP just to get killed over & over again until they got the audacity gear?

As I said earlier, I fear it could deter players rather than encourage them, but that is simply my opinion. A better solution would be to simply buy 1 months VIP and you will have plenty
of time to play, get some audacity gear and decide if you want to carry on or not. You will not be able to do this with a free weekend once in a blue moon.

    Thanks for the new calender

As usual thank you so much for giving us a new calender. I know it's sad but I juggle my life around Lotro festivals. Would it be possible to give us at least a weeks notice before Update 15 comes out? It's just that it takes at least 2 hours to download the update and I need to schedule it in. Also I think that advance notice would really boost people's excitement and anticipation for the new class and content!!! Just an idea. Thanks.

I expect them to announce a tentative date around the time U15 gets put on Bullroarer.

Thank you for having breaks between festivals and not having Hobnanigans during festivals!

Any updates to this? If I might request something, how about a crafting weekend this weekend (boost to exp and/or craft xp)...

There's an option for auto accepting these quests, why not just ask for an option to auto decline them too.

I'd love that. I looked at Frelorn's list and just about
burst a blood vessel. Hobnanigans EVERY MONTH?

If the auto-grant happened only once per festival/quest/whatever,
it wouldn't be so bad. But we get that damned auto-grant
every time we log in, every time we level, every time we leave
    a session play.

So it would be great to turn the silly things off.

Trouble is, there are other quests that are also auto-granted,
when the player enters a new region. Find this, kill this,
that, and the other. Is there some code-compatible way
of turning off Hobnanigans/Festivals/et cetera auto-grants,
while leaving the landscape ones (which pop up only once)
    able to pop up?

If not, how about arranging that once we've accepted the
stupid quest and acquired ONE map to wherever it is,
we don't get the quest any more? There's already a
mechanism whereby if we get nineteen Iron Collars (for
instance in our overflow packs, and put one in our regular
packs, we can't get the other nineteen. I'd be happy to
take ONE Hobnanignas map and leave it in my packs
till it was over. But it doesn't work like that; if any of
my characters isn't diligent about dragging-and-dropping
the dumb map -- or selling it to the nearest NPC for a
whole seven coppers -- s/he will wind up with a stack
of ten or twenty, depending on how often I log that
    character in or out.

    Spare us. Please.

Totally agree with this. In fact, it gets so bad at times I won't even log in, annoying as all get out. Oh, and if I may add one other teensy, weensy morsel. Turbine, a weekend is NOT Thursday through Tuesday.

I have a bad connection and get DC'd regularly 2 or more times every time I play. So I and anyone else with my problem get even more maps!
