"sec_error_bad_signature" with firefox while browsing lotro.com via https

    Hi,

the main page as well as the Forum is currently not browseable via https due to a wrong SSL Setup:

    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewto...f=38&t=2858255

It seems this is caused by an incomplete certification path according to:

    https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/anal...ml?d=lotro.com

Any chances to get this fixed?

I wish this would get fixed too.

It looks to me to be an incorrect or missing Intermediate CA certificate.

It is possible to obtain and install the correct intermediate certificate locally, and those errors will go away and show a full trust chain, but that's an artificial and far from ideal solution, and some systems (e.g. Android OS) will complain about doing it.

While the connection is still encrypted and signed certs are hardly perfect as validation, the warnings do not look very good...

    Hi,

no idea why but seems its working again even that ssllabs is still showing an incomplete certificate chain.

The settings for Firefox had gotten screwed up and I could not figure out how to fix it on one of my PCs. Firefox lets you uninstall and nuke all the settings and saved stuff. That way I was able to do a fresh install with the defaults. I could not log into the forums because of this error. Give Firefox a few days. The problem will go away on its own.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.
