    More roleplay friendly pets please

I like the new cosmetic pet system, however, having a giant shrew or a hourn follow you around is... unreal and ridiculous (yes I know this is a game and all of it is unreal, but you know what I mean). Even a chicken or a swan is not a company I imagine my vagabond burglar would have in his adventure. A small shrew is more likely, but... you know, can we have more cute, fluffy pet look less like a hairless ulcerated rat please? A part from Lore master only pet (I agreed that LM should have their own unique pets). Maybe a mouse (not rat), a seagull (like those flying around on DA dock) and other kind of birds, a badger, a horse, a wolf's pup...

You are so right. A baby Huorn is a contradiction in
terms (Treebeard tells us plainly that it is old trees
that wake up and, sometimes, turn out to be evil).
A shrew the size of a motorcycle, unless its metabolism
were slowed down to something appropriate to its size,
would eat the entire population of Bree in a few hours
    and then starve to death.

Even a chicken or a swan is not a company I imagine my vagabond burglar would have in his adventure.
/shrug A chicken, maybe, people make pets of them
sometimes; but the first mob it met would take it out
and eat it before starting in on you. I can see a swan
as an LM combat pet; between the buffets from its
wings and the jabs from its beak, a swan can kill
a man. If you're wandering through the countryside
and a swan "threatens to attack," run.

Cute and fluffy pets really don't belong in combat,
do they? Even if they're not fighting? My LMs have
the usual assortment of companions, fight almost
exclusively with the Lynx,* and also have a Cat
who is brought out only inside civilized areas.

N.B.: a badger is pretty fierce too. That would be
better suited for a low-level LM pet.

    ____
*One of the very few occasions on which I have visited
the AH is when another of my LMs gets to level 30 and
can summon a Lynx; and my Jeweler has to haunt
the AH for another single-shot Onyx Lynx recipe.

And by the way, real shrews are neither hairless
nor ulcerated-looking. Some of them are rather
    cute.

No I don't want a fighting pet, I want a company in my adventure. A little mouse I made friend with in Blackwood's jail that I always keep in my pocket. A broken wing bird I saved and healed and it stays with me since then...

Those would be nice. How much would you be
    willing to pay for them?

I want a big mousey. I am still hoping the giant shrew will appear in the store.

I will probably only pull him out for show when i enter instances with my kinnies (and put him back again before we start) or at festivals. But I still want one

I also like the idea of a little bluebird on my shoulder
Apes are superior to man in this . . . . When a monkey looks in a mirror, he sees a monkey

I would pay 395 TP each for the following pets in the store. I'd buy one of each:

    1. Shoulder Guard cosmetic which looks like a cat draped over my neck and shoulders.

    2. Beagle or Foxhound cosmetic pet.

    3. Labrador or Golden Retriever cosmetic pet.

    4. Great Dane or Irish Wolfhound skin for my LM's mounted pet (replacing Dire Wolf skin).

That would be very cool. I would buy that one too!

A cat shoulder cosmetic would look alright, but really weird when you're running around, fighting enemies, and jumping off cliffs.

It would be kind of cool of there were cosmetic pet people... Just NPCs that follow you around and do nothing.

Nah, cosmetics could always be switched prior to combat. Besides, having lived with cats most of my life, they would simply ride it out and make your life miserable when you got home.

I want a pet mule, laden with supplies, to follow my character around as I walk from town to town - or though the wilds.
Meadowlarke Sweetweed on Landroval. Also nephews and Bounders Ayrhawk, Wrennsong, and Little Meadowlark Sweetweed
Club Eclair roleplaying group on Landroval currently capped at Level 45 in eastern Angmar for all Shadows of Angmar end-game content (Alphred Troute, Hedgerow Shrewburrow).

Perhaps the cosmetic pets for LM's could be made available to all classes? I have a turtle and a little bird that are just adorable.

Pet mule sounds cool. But it would be cooler if you could use it for extra storage.
And I think LM pets (even non-combat ones) should stay exclusive to LMs.
