    Farming seeds

Just a thought - instead of buying farming tier-specific seeds, why don't you allow "higher seeds" to be used at tier or in any lower tier to boot?

So if I need to make some cherries in Eastemnet tier and all I have are Westemnet seeds/water, I would be able to use those as replacements instead. Plus it's another money sink to keep the exploding inflation at bay in the game.

Were you playing in the first couple years after launch, when
*every crop* had its own kind of seeds, and half the crops you
grew were of an inferior variety that yielded only seeds?

(Which didn't correspond very well to real-world farming, in which
you kept the *best* crops for seeds.)

Granted, there were fewer Farming tiers in those days.

And you had to keep all the seed varieties in your vault, because
buying them from the vendor cost enough that farming was a
    money sink?

A whole lot of Farmers, Cooks, et cetera, rejoiced when Turbine
reduced the seed inventory to three types (grain, vegetable,
pipeweed) per tier (flower seeds were added later), and you
didn't have to harvest/store your own seeds, you could simply
buy them from the vendor because they were cheap. And if
you had seeds left over, you could sell 'em back to the vendor.

I don't think we need Turbine to rewrite the code further so
    that seeds are backwards-compatible.

Been here since closed beta. Just because it's better than it was doesn't mean it can't be made better yet.

The Supreme tier of farming doesn't even have grains and flowers, so those could be added for variety...kind of monotonous to have to grow pipeweed, tea leaves, green peas and taters over and over.
