Glad i started checking the forums again. i have already arranged a day off to do the real run on the 23rd but will not be able to do any early practices. I will keep an eye on this thread and will be doing my own solo practices. I may have missed this in prtevious posts and would like some clarification: Since we want empty bags, should i also not be looting kills? I will do whatever i can to lessen lag.

I have reached out to my kin leader to let him know also.

Hello! Bummer you can't make it to the group practices but it is good to hear you are doing your own and will be around for the real run. If you are unsure of the path we have settled on feel free to leave me a message in game (Bronwen) and I can show you! As for the empty bags thing, I myself didn't know full bags caused lag until recently. My guess is when it is time to do the event deposit your spare items that isn't needed in your vault, housing chest, or where ever works best and turn off the auto loot just for the duration of the run. I don't know if you will still collect items as you go thanks to being in a group or not but that might actually work.

One other thing while I'm posting: Would anyone like to volunteer to be the backup hobbit? Like last week I might be late logging in.

Thank you to everyone who participated today. Today's time might not have been close Anduin's but it was still a decent finish and the hobbit survived! There are things we can still improve but I believe we can work them out in time for April 23rd.

The next practice is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9th at 3:00 PM (EST) and this time it will be a two-part practice. First, we will have a route run to make sure no one ends up going the wrong way. Important areas will be noted in chat so everyone will know where to go and when. /joinchannel HOBBIT for anyone not in the raid groups. After that is done we will have a short break (at this point people my want snacks or have to go to the bathroom) and regroup at the Prancing Pony to escort a low level hobbit to see if we can fine tune how we will protect Hadacar for the real event.

    ----------------------------------------

People sometimes have become confused as to what group they belong to and/or who to follow. Some of us want to see if assigning a color to the different groups will help with this problem. Not to mention having everyone in the same outfit would make our server look nifty! I'm starting to ramble....Dyes and possibly a cosmet provided to anyone wishing to go along with this.
    The colors are as follows:
Red, Vanguard - The group who will start ahead of the hobbit and clear mobs from the path.
Evendim Blue, Hobbit Team - The escort and the group that will be applying speed buffs and etc... to the hobbit.
Yellow, Path Criers - Players who will act as checkpoints in key areas to ensure the runners will head in the right direction. (If you want to volunteer please leave a reply or send a message in game. )

Hey this all sounds great! I will try to get in on the practice runs. If you still need a RK for healing the Hobbit I can fill in for that. Btw what if we have captians as part of the Blue, Hobbit Team? I would think that thier run boost horn thing combined with the Hunters run speed would be an AMAZING combo and could speed up the run a lot more.

We had a discussion about having captains in the Hobbit Team and I think that is what we are going to try for if we have enough.

April 16 - just ONE WEEK to go!! Gah!

We need to get a lot more nailed down!

It was fun watching the Silverlode run today, they came in 3rd place with their time. It looked like their route is almost exactly the same as ours. A couple of things I noted down:

    * They were adamant about not having cloaks, mounts (no more than necessary to ketchup), and LM's to reduce lag
    * They kept a mini with Hadacar and did indeed need to heal him. We need a healer dedicated to Hadacar.
    * They kept a bubble on Hadacar most of the time. I don't know what kind of bubble.

    Practice, practice, practice!! \o/

    Well done, Imladris!!!

THANK YOU to everyone who came out and made our run a great success!!

It was a lot of fun, and it was sooo awesome to see all the Imladrisians get together and work to make it happen, and do so very well!

Special thanks to Bronwen, Zipsarchie for all the great effort you both put into organizing and planning everything. Thanks also to Galviel and Ara for being leads, and to EVERYONE for participating.

    CHEERS IMLADRIS!! \o/

I want to thank everyone that participated in the Hobbit to Isengard event and all the practices leading up to it. It was a little crazy at the start with so many people and so much craziness going on from people celebrating but we managed to get the hobbit to Isengard with only a few bumps and bruises. I am thrilled we were able to get done in under an hour and reach the goal of getting a top five time. (At the time I am typing this it was third place!) Twelve more servers are still waiting to take their hobbits and they very well might beat our time but I am fine with that. Imladris stepped it up! Hip, hip, HUZZAH!

Not sure if people are still sub'd to this thread, but I thought I'd mention that there's going to be another event like this! I don't know Imladris' date or time yet, but in about two weeks Eldar is leading a Dwarf through Moria to the Gates of Caras Galadhron!

We might want to start practicing now, it seems server order is going to be based on our ranking in TTHTI, and we are ninth overall. So we don't have all that long.
