Failing to connect after selecting server

Been playing for a few months with full updates and expansions. I've been trying to log on and cannot. The client doesn't launch after I select my server (Meneldor). No black screen, just nothing launches. I redid my firewall settings and the 3 files that should be there are there. My internet connection is working fine. This is as far as my tech know-how stops. What should I do?

What OS?

Did you check for another firewall or a virus/security program that could be blocking it?

I am having the exact same issue, after "getting in line to connect" then nothing ever ,as of a couple days ago.been playing since launch of this game ,zero problems til now.any idea? anyone?

I've just tried reinstalling from scratch (14 hour later!). Didn't fix the problem - still the same crash back to desktop after selecting server

if you have sweetFX installed remove it that fixed mine from starting.

Hi,

I had the same problem.
I just removed Pando Media Booster and now LOTRO is running again.
