From a PvE perspective, I am curious about your choice, Mr GrinsgarCZ, of investing in Strike From Shadows (+% From Stealth-Enhanced Skills Crit Chance) and Well-Practiced (reduction CD on Aim and Find-Footing). I learned from you how to optimize my skill rotation so to, in between Feint-Attacks, use all of my Crit Chain Skills before consuming it (Feint-Attack) with either of Surprise Strike or Cunning Attack. Reason being that all the while, I benefit from the "From Stealth" status (+30% dmg Bonus) for 15 seconds.

Cunning Attack, we can assume that is a sure Crit from the start, going on for 30 seconds. From lots of skill rotations, I believe that going Double-Edged Strike>Subtle Stab>Flashing Blades>Gambler's Advantage (insert here anything you may find useful before next CA or SS) takes perhaps 8~ seconds. At most. Considering Cunning Attack won't stack its bleed on crits, I don't feel that the +5% Crit Chance on it (and SS) is all that worth it. What truly is my main damage output at the moment is each and everyone of my Crit Chain Skills. I thought of dropping Gambler's Advantage due to it's low damage but then refrained since it "could" trigger the -5% Crit Def debuff.

Then, Find-Footing, I love that de-stun, but, knowing I can use it every 4 minutes instead of every 5.. Usually won't change my life much. I'd think it'd be certainly of use out in the Moors, perhaps, but, in PvE, I would love to learn why.

That being said, 2 days ago, reading you, others, testing around, I set-up my second Spec Tree as a different QK. Dropping Dust in the Eye, Startling Twist, etc. Quite close to what you have for QK PvE. But for now, just like you, I am missing the last Trait point from Big Battles, thus I kept Stun Dust in waiting. Still, should you want to take a look at how I'm set up now, I've put it up: https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthr...89#post7180789

The purpose of my test was initially to understand what I'd lose from wearing the Earring for the BB set Positional Bonus. Mainly, for a loss of 1% Crit Magnitude, I lose about 3,8% dmg output, if NOT from behind. Which, obviously, should the info I've read about Positional Bonuses mechanics be accurate, will be coped for easily.

Once I get that last Trait Point, I have in mind of dropping Stun Dust for that last +1% Physical Damage. I still am in early testing of all that but truly feel I am hitting harder than I've ever hit before!

It is hard to tell wether the physical damage is better than the +crit chance from stealth. Theres a good chance physical damage bonus might come out better, but I guess it will need some testings to be sure. To be honest I have never actually even thought about putting points into it. 2 points for 1% melee dmg didnt look that appealing for me, Ive always been more of a crit-chance fan 1% crit chance is a clear stat, but +1% physical damage is often misleading, if you already have like +130% melee damage from mastery, it wont increase your dps by 1%, but less.
I will definitely try it out though That crit chance from stealth really only affects 1 skill from whole rotation..

Gamblers advantage, on the other hand is a good skill even on its own I believe. It is affected by all those legacies like crit response damage, crit chain skill crit magnitude, crit chain skill crit chance... and from my parses I can see it is doing good part of damage. And it is much quicker than double-edged strike, it fits to the rotation nicely.

Yup! I'm totally in accord with you! And I agree, before 2 days ago, I didn't even think of putting points in that +1% dmg per 2 Trait Points. Though the Crit Chance for Stealth-Enhanced Skills, as you pointed out, only will apply for those 2 skills in rotation, so once every rotation. While, sure, those skills WILL, in the end, deal more damage and I agree, if you check how I'm set up, I'm ALL about Crit, but in a maximizing point of view, I believe at this point the flat damage bonus might end up in a better total damage output.

Though at this point, it's tweak over tweak, I just have nothing better to ponder about regarding my toon as it is. Especially since I don't even play any other character, nor go about in the Moors. If I'm not attending a concert, planning the next, testing new songs or writing some, I usually just stay up on the fence in South Bree in wait to surprise anyone I know with a /tickle coming out from Stealth. In wait for to help somebody.

EDIT: And yea, Gambler's Advantage is alright, since it benefits from all those bonuses, just the DoT following is slight and it only is a one-hit attack compared to the other two. Its damage still is high, on any Crit Chain skill I rarely NOT crit, thus its damage revolves around 5,4k+ if not mistaken.

I'm currently playing with the idea of a blue/yellow hybrid to maximize debuffing capabilities especially in a moors group. I don't know if it is worth giving up that much damage, but it sounds nice on paper...

Full access to debuffing gamble, disabling gamble, 5s daze grace period, dust, enrage, twist, fellowship poison/wound/... removal. Seems quite nasty to me.
Traiting for 20sec cooldown on Twist instead of morale/mitigations would also be an option... need to give up a bit of Bob and Weave healing then though, but that's not that important in group play anyway.
    What do you think?

    This looks pretty good.
It offers a 'Riddle + Startling twist + Disabling gamble' unbreakable mezz combo which duration-wise isnt as good as MMs Startling twist + Riddle + Startling twist, but MM has to wait 1 or 2 secs during it for CD, which allows the creep to use a skill or something.
I would definitely go for the lower startling twist cooldown for extra supportive ability.
Your poison removal will be slower than MMs, your riddle cd will still be 1 min, you wont stack 2 tricks, but having debuffing and disabling gamble compensates that quite well. You will also have worse trick range a bit. You will definitely do a better job CCing healers+WLs than a MM But I think in RvR you will find actually very little use for debuffing gamble as it has only 15s duration.

Interesting would be also an approach from the other way around - choose MM tree as main and get deep into blue line for provoke mezz. Although youd have no lucky strike then

Coming back to you about that statement, you're absolutely right. And while I did feel it wouldn't give me all that much of an upgrade, I only understood after going through all the math. *Is sorry for being such a number guy* Either way, as you pointed out, the higher your bonus is to physical damage, the less each +1% increase will "feel as" a difference. Should that upgrade in Crit Chance apply to all attacks, my normal Crits deal +139%* damage, multiplied by 5% would give an increase in damage of +7%. Now, as it's clear the +1-5% crit chance on stealth enhanced skills bonus only will apply to one skill every rotation, it is hard to tell how much of an increase in damage that may represent.

I'd have to push the math further to get a "clear" number for right now, the quick equations I've toyed around with are too imprecise for me to say much. One thing I am sure, it's that the increase in overall damage, in the end will be very close, whichever path is chosen.

In that light, I am brought to believe that the Burglar that can stay in position, behind his Mark and keeps chaining his rotation will gain more from the steady damage bonus while the one forced to run here and there due to either lack of cohesion amongst his team or just sudden discordance will gain from the initial Crit Bonus on his "rotation-start" skill. That, which suddenly brings me another question, the tooltip doesn't say if that Critical Chance increase on Stealth-Enhanced Skills applies always or if it only does when considered Stealth?

Just curious, why the 10 points in Leaf Walker? You could've easily gotten the 2.5% crit chance from Roll the Dice.

Honed Wit and Aggravated Bleeds are also nice if you pull some points out of Red-Line; you don't need to take every single red trait available.
