Kept telling me that the name is not appropriate for Middle Earth... I was kinda bummed out :P
Havent tried, but does it allow you to use lore related names for other LI?
Perhaps this is best suited under legendaries?

I'm not entirely sure why you would want to? There is only one Shadowfax

You cant name a goat anything that contains the word 'horn' either....no idea why![]()

They didn't mean "Horn". They meant anything containing the four-letter combination -horn-, Yamy.
"Icehorn" isn't a lore-name. Nor is "Ghornom". Yet, according to JaxV, those couldn't be used, 'cause they contain -horn-.
Have to check this, next time I log in. It just sounds... weird.
For the OP:
Lore-names are forbidden, locked off. You can get around that lock, but that's not... okay. There's more about the naming policy here.
I tried a few things like (but not exactly as I cant remember what I did try) 'bluehorn' or 'hornam', then tested it by trying '#####' - I suspect this is why, because '#####' is a british term for feeling, ya know, 'in the mood'. Maybe they should just have locked '#####'??
ETA: Yep, filter there sorry!

Yup, terms related to...adult activities...are locked off, as well as things containing them.
Don't try to name your elf or elf-minded "Moralph" ("Black Swan") or "Moralagos" ("Black Storm Wind"), either. Won't work. Because they have 'oral' in it. :/
Same goes for "Anoralph" ("Sun Swan")....and various other combinations...

Lots of things are blocked, generally anything that is too close to any "real" name and anything they consider not appropriate for an in-game name (e.g. you can't use digits in LI names).
Used to play: 85 Champ / Captain / Runekeeper / Guardian, Guild Master of everything but cooking.
Playing now: Hellcat / King Tiger / GW Panther / IS / KV-5 / M4 Sherman and more

I find this strangely appropriate as, of course, Shadowfax never needed a bridleOn my Warsteed, I un-equip all Cosmetic Appearances because it's how an Elf would probably ride, and feels more natural
