    Metal

So if anyone listens to metal, what are your favorite bands?

and don't post metalcore/deathcore/djent bands because they aren't metal.

I'm not sure if this counts as metal, but I'm a HUGE fan of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

My favorite Album is their first , Warriors of the Son

    Metallica

    The first 4 Albums

Ride the Lightning and Masters of Puppets were their Master Pieces. I think they would have taken a different direction if Cliff Burton was still alive. Although before he passed he was thinking about leaving the band to start his own according to the book "To live is to die"

    Iron Maiden

I was a Maiden fan for Years and Years...Finally got to see them in Concert in 2010. Their Master Piece was Power Slave. I have to honestly say though their last album was pure c.r.a.p......Very Dissapointed.

I tend to gravitate towards progressive metal. Bands like Redemption, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, Circus Maximus, etc. I am also a huge fan of Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Opeth, Slayer, old-school Metallica before the black album, Black Sabbath, Dio, Rainbow, etc.

Unfortunately, the USA is such a 3rd world country in terms of metal music.

    just some suggestions:
    Ahab
    Fjoergyn
    Helrunar
    Dornenreich
    Eluveitie
    Arkona
    (Finntroll)
    Primordial
    Amon Amarth
    Manegarm

And btw, calling Coretallica or Manowar a metal band needs to be heavily punished
I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people. ... I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort itself out.
