    Where did the buff go?

I'm loving the new HD trait line content but I noticed today that the relentless attack buff(or equivalent) is not buffed on us. Is this a balance issue? I like the active buffing system but why should we all of a sudden not get the buff when we could apply the buff on us pre HD. Am I missing something?

Just to be clear, you are using Sure Strike while in a Battle-readied state and while traited red, and not receiving the Relentless Attack buff?

That is correct. I see it go off on both my herald and skirmish soldier but not myself. Is this a bug? The tool tip does say it applies it to the fellowship so I thought that was just a design choice.

Relentless Attacks should definitely be applying to the Captain as well. It's working that way for me.

Sounds like it's either a bug or you've got a display option toggled on that's hiding your buffs. Are you still seeing other buffs like Motivating Speech, Battle-Readied, etc? What level are you? (The buff should be available at any point after unlocking specialisations, but knowing what level you're at could help figure out what the source of the bug is, if there is one.)

Yea I will check again tonight to make sure I wasn't overlooking something but I see every other buff such as battle hardened and such on my buff bars. I also see the relentless attack buff show on the buff bars of my archer so it is at least procing on my fellowship. I'm currently 58 with all 35 points down the red tree. Is there a specific skill you need to pick up down the red tree? I thought it was automatically applied when you chose a line. Thanks for the help I just didn't want to bug it if it was just my stupidity. Developers are probably busy enough as it is.

I am pretty much in the same situation, and I think it procs just fine for me. At least I think so, I'll double-check tonight. But there isn't anything in specific in the red tree that you need to pick up to get the buff to proc, I think.

Yeah, it's supposed to be automatically applied. I was curious about the level because I was wondering if there might be a bug that causes the Tactic buff to not be applied until you're at the level where you normally get the Tactic skill or else that it's not applying to the Captain unless you have the set bonus that applies Blade-Brother effects to you. Neither one of those seems to fit your situation, though, so it must be something else.

ive been playing red-line and have not seen it... then again, I have yet to fight anything that lets me use all my skills.

also might be a reactionary problem... im still hitting Rally Cry when I get a defeat response, like im gonna waste it (the opportunity to use it) or something. so, im probably doing ti with PA/DS too and not thinking about using other skills first.

I need to adjust my playstyle now.

not loving these changes. this is the first lotro xpac I have not LOVED. guess it had to happen, eventually.

Yea we defiantly need a new mentality when it comes to which skills go in which order. I keep catching myself doing pressing attacks or devastating blow right after battle shout and wasting that extra damage buff. I am actually quite enjoying the changes though as it is nice to theory craft and test things again with the captain. But each to his/her own I guess.

On a side note, I am not one hundred percent sure, but I think if you use Rally Cry on defeat it is slightly stronger. This is just anecdotal evidence but I think it heals a bit more even when traited down the red. If it doesn't then I think they should do something about this because we are wasting a defeat event otherwise on a skill that doesn't need it.

Yup, that's how it works. Regardless of what traits you have, Routing Cry deals more damage with a DE and Rallying Cry heals more with a DE. The traits add new effects on top of that.
