    I cannot create a character

Hi, I'm new here so sorry if this is in the wrong place...but I can't create a character. No races will appear. I get gender and class, but no race, and my character won't appear on the screen. What's wrong?

Can't say specifically about why the model doesn't appear, but what class did you pick? Does not picking a class open up the races? Some classes are race-specific. Captains, for example, MUST be Human. The other classes can be anywhere from 2 to 4 of the available races.

    This is an old problem

Basically, it's down to DirectX versioning

Go into Options > Graphics and set the DirectX to 9 and restart client

Then you should be able to create your character

    Once done
Go back into Options > Graphics and reset to which ever DirectX you are using (10 or 11)

You will now be able to run amok in Middle Earth

You will only ever need to do this the ONE time
Any new characters will be able to be created as normal
