    about Bilbo and Frodo

I have wondered about these two hobbits for a while.

Bilbo: Was there anything between Bilbo and Thorin Oakenshild? Was there a sort of man-crush from one to the other?

Frodo: Was Frodo the object of desire for either Samwise or Gollum?

please forgive this moment of insanity

    1. No. Nothing indicates they had, and it seems unlikely for a Hobbit to develop a crush on a Dwarf, let alone an old and battered Dwarf like Thorin.
    2. Yeah, Gollum really wanted to take Frodo's ring. Hur hur innuendo. But no.

Methinks you've been reading/watching too much erotic fanfiction.

Oh please no. I think the only reason you made this thread is to provoke people.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

This kinda reminds me of a discussion I had back in my college days about the relationship between Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo. We were wondering what, exactly, Boo-Boo meant when he said, "Mr. Ranger's not going to like that, Yogi."

OP: Please read the books instead of just watching the films.

    They're good books, too.

Hey you said it right here, not us. Please go read the books like the others said. It really does sound like you're just trying to pick a fight.

    No, and no.
    No, no no no no.
I can't even think of shipping any of them!
A warden of Lothlorien meets up a with a rune keeper from Lindon and a friendship is sparked. An elf hunter from Mirkwood finds a minstrel mourning the loss of Edhellen. A captain of Rohan rides to Bree and comes across a burned farm, the only survivor a young woman who'd defended herself with a rusted sword and axe. Thus many adventures begin.

Thorin is over a hundred years older than Bilbo.
Frodo is thirty years older than Sam.
Gollum was was taken up with lust for the ring.
And Tolkien was a Catholic, and didn't include much of any erotic anything. There were three love stories, Aragorn/Arwen, Sam/Rosie, Eowen/Aragorn and/or Faramir.
Lore-Monkey(not a Lore Guardian) and proud of it.
