Surprised someone didn’t already start this conversation, so I’ll kick it off: what do you all think of the changes we got a preview of in today’s HD announcement? For those who missed it:
A stationary but high-impact damage line, the Bowmaster can down an enemy as they're running to attack.
The induction skill "Upshot" consumes all Focus to deal massive damage from afar, with damaged boosted by each Focus pip consumed.
The Trapper of Foes
Controlling the flow of battle while employing buffs to gain leverage on their opponent, The Trapper of Foes is a potent support and solo line.
Deployed at a distance, the "Deadly Decoy" trap taunts enemies before exploding for heavy damage.
A mid-range harasser that excels at sustained damage, the Huntsman unleashes volleys of rapid attacks while navigating the battlefield.
"Barrage" deals moderate damage even while on the move. Consuming three Focus pips, it can deal a steady stream of shots that each deal greater damage, but also cost more power.
Personally, I am looking forward to these changes. Hunters now have the option to fire on the move or we can stand back and pew-pew for big numbers. Depending on your playstyle, either could be advantageous. And it looks like they are making the Yellow line a viable one with some in-combat traps and an exploding trap sounds really cool! I still see blue and red being far more popular, but at least I can imagine how the yellow line would be an option compared to now when it doesn’t really bring anything to the table.
And of course it sounds like they are doing a general skill improvement and clean-up, which is much appreciated (here’s hoping Press Onward and Heart Seeker are made useful!).
Anyone else have thoughts?
