The Shire Angling Club is proud to announce the opening of the Museum of Hunting and Fishing, on Saturday 3 August at 7:00 PM (UK time, 2:0 PM Server time).
The Museum is at 2, Chalk Road, Harville, Shire Homesteads.
7 pm: Reception in the museum gardens
7:15 Tour and illustrated talk on the 'Fishing Holes of Middle Earth'
7:45 Crazy Catfish Catch at the ponds
8:15 Catfish Bake-out and Barbecue with music and dancing
9 pm Grand Raffle and Firework display
Ponso has long hankered after building a centre for hunting, fishing and more importantly, conservation. The day has finally arrived when the Museum of Hunting and Fishing opens it doors! Come along to learn all about the Shire fish, tickle flounder in the Noodling Pool or to try your hand at landing a catfish!
On sale will be premium fishing equipment, fishing trophies and food produced from locally-caught fish.
