Draiogch can take a punch in 11.3?

    As per the patch notes:

    Raids

Draigoch isn't always willing to take a punch. We've explained to him that his lot in life is to be beat upon by players and he should really just Dragon Up and take it.
While I appreciate the attempt at humor with the patch notes, just what exactly does this mean? Is this referring to the anti-exploit bug that has plagued the raid since it's inception two years ago? Or is this something else that has only begun to crop up recently? I'm not complaining, just looking for a bit of clarity on what the patch note meant - hopefully it's the first step toward bringing Draigoch up to a scale-able raid.

Sounds like the fix is for the "braindead" bug in Phase 3, when he would suddenly freeze and his morale turns green. (If so, huzzah!) The bug where attackable Draig gets separated from his animation (invisible head+claws) seems to be newer; I doubt they've received many bug reports for it.

I can confirm we just beat Draigoch with no glitches, thanks to my team on Brandywine and the Turbine devs for finally fixing it, and hope everyone else has the success we did. Here are the screenshots (and if anyone from Turbine is reading this, I hope you guys will improve the drop rates in Fornost and ITA this summer)

Lol a little to late, don't you think? Fixing outdated raids that everyone has farmed already countless times. Tho nice if they finally figured out what was wrong, tho it's irrelevant to say the least (can maybe help with future bugs to come? -ohhh wait no more raids anyways)

Like the wording of the fix tho Glad devs haven't lost their sence of humor

When Draigoch first came out, I completed it 4-6 times a week..... for months. I finally got my last dragon cloak before the bugs got worse and the raid became unplayable. Upon hearing that it was being fixed with this latest patch, I was happy to see an extraordinary raid come back to life. I gathered kin and friends and headed into the dungeon. Draigoch seemed like his old self... and the dungeon seemed glitch free.... until of course it bugged just like it always did on Phase 3. So much for hoping it was fixed.

I would think it is a pretty safe bet this will be scaled at some point

I doubt it, seeing as it's still got the original bugs in it. This update only fixed the bugs added with RoR.

Well there's lots of us who haven't been able to do the Draig run because of the bug... I want to be able to say I've done it, so I'm excited that Draig is fixed... The game doesn't revolve around you and the countless others who have "farmed" the raids... It's probably people like you that make the raids bug and Turbine scaling back rewards from them... Let us people who are relatively new to the game experience it for ourselves....

The old bug is still in - you can experience that as many times as you like.
It's a fun raid but once it becomes easy it's very boring.
And yes my game revolves around me.

ps Yes, you are right, i and people like me made the angry dragon bug for all the people out there.

What aargh is saying is that because the content is older and the rewards for it are from the last xpac that it is more likely that items from the current xpac will be addressed before the ones of the previous. And it appears they fixed a new bug that was only introduced recently and not the original problems the instance had. (which made it hugely frustrating and apparently still does)

Here's where you really go off the rails.

No but it certainly revolves around what the LOTRO team deems to be content relevant to the current release. What aargh is trying to say is that this maybe should have have been resolved when a majority of the player base was using it and not after it has become irrelevant to most.

It will be hard for me to address this. Mainly because it is the strangest thing I have ever seen posted.
We now blame players who ran the content for the developers inability to repair the content? Draigoch still is and was on raid locks so there is no way to farm it. Scaling back rewards? I haven't seen that unless you are referring to the garbage loot system that was instituted for god knows what reason. And finally you can experience Draigoch if you want to. No one ever said because the content is stale that you should not be able to run it. What aargh was saying is because fewer people use it that it will probably never get the attention it should have gotten. He is just pointing out the pattern of the developing studios and not attempting to make you look stupid.

Some advice- a few deep breaths.

I for one have never completed this raid once. It has everytime bugged and we no longer worry about it. Its just one more of the many bugged instances not yet completed.

They're being ambiguous about it. What was written should be loosely translated as "We tried to fix the bug(s) in Draigoch. If it works, great. If not, we never actually said we fixed anything."

Considering the last few posts, it looks like it means the latter.
