    Race selection

Basically I want to create both a mini and a RK, for these are the only classes I don't already have, but I don't know which class I should choose. I really don't care about the starting region, so that should influence the coice. I want my choice to be based on the race bonuses only, so that it can be easier to play afterwards. I will probably not reach more than level 40, as I only want to try these classes, and I will definetly do mainly soloing, probably no grouping at all. So any suggestion about which race would make my Mini and my RK more powerful?

There are some funny typos in there that make it a really confusing paragraph.

    Dwarf or Man on both.

Dwarf bonus - +20 Fate +Blocking on Shield (for mini) -50% damage for 10 seconds (saves you)
Man - +20 Fate Self Heal +Sword Damage (mini) for Heralds Strike

In the end it really doesn't matter. Elf bonuses are kind of a joke, hobbit doesn't really help either.

And racial bonuses dont realy matter after like lvl 20, so the only reason to choose one over the other is for cosmetic purposes only.
Chrisandir, man Captain 100 | Raxus dwarf Guardian 51 | Chrorin dwarf Hunter 30 | Strillo hobbit Burglar 3 | Butche man Champion 29 |
    | Falaminianteraglith dwarf Runekeeper 20 | Randu man Lore-master 17 | Nafthali woman Warden 12 |

As others have said, race is pretty much just cosmetic.

Hobbits get a feign death, so a lot of minstrels find that useful.
    Dwarves have the best yells
Men have a nice self-heal plus better incoming healing
Elves have the most useful racial port (at least early on)

Minstrels get their own feign death on a lower cooldown, also Rivendell is a useless port. If you talk to Gandalf in the prancing pony in bree you accept his quest and he teleports you to Rivendell, then you drop the quest and you can do it over and over.

Yes Minstrels get a feign death, but Hobbit Minstrels get two - which a lot of minstrels has said it is worth making a hobbit just for this.

Also, Rivendell port has been extremely valuable to me when doing quests that go back and forth to Rivendell between levels 30-40 (before you're eligible for swift travel). I would not call that useless at all.

I also don't usually exploit quests. But that's just me.

I would choose Elf, but that's only based on my personal preference of loving Elves, nothing else. I don't feel like the class bonuses make much of a difference once you get to a higher lv

As already stated, race is a purely cosmetic choice, especially after about level 20. The various racial bonuses all have their pros and cons, none of them make much of a difference by the time you get to mid-game. Solo survivability is equivalent across all races.

I think hobbits are cute, so my minstrel is a hobbit.

I ussually choose elves for my alts because i prefer how they look, i can identify. Other times i choose hobbits cause their playful style just feel right. I specially selected dwarf for my minstrel cause if he is gonna be loud all the time, better be epic dwarves roars . My captain is my only human & only because thats the only racial choice the class have & i really hate how she looks, its just too unflexible, all men kind looks about the same & not enough representation of all possible human appearances.

Not really, most of them don't make a difference, but some certainly do.

Men get an initial +5% incoming healing which later turns into +7% via the epic quests at Lv ~70.
Men can give the fellowship +2% Morale.
Dwarves have a -50% incoming damage skill for 10 seconds.
Dwarves can give the fellowship +85 Vitality.

Those are just incredibly useful to have on any class. Obviously there are other useful racial traits, but not so much for healers.

Yes those racial bonuses will be incredibly usefull at start but by when you finally complete the deed to earn them you are at mid game.
