    A Purchaser's Guide to Lailia's Market!

While trying to figure out where the items could otherwise be acquired, I compiled this

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...lcmY5eUE#gid=0
    Hopefully it's pretty self-explanatory.

Thanks Lotro-Wiki for making my work much, much easier! If you've got a minute to help improve this I've got some requests below!
(edit: Removed #1, answered by @cosmeticlotro)

    2. WARNING: Item:Ceremonial Chainmail Jacket of Bree can be purchased for SILVER just a few feet down the block at the Armorsmiths shop in Bree next to the vault.

3 Do these have any equivalent non-Market item?
Item:Embroidered Dwarven Gloves part of the 'No Small Feat set',
    Item: Damasked Golden Gauntlets

4.Do these items have non-World-random Drop equivalents?
    Item:Ceremonial Kekkonen's Burden
Fine Quiver - There's not another source for this besides the Pre-F2P spring-festival recipe is there?

(5&6 Removed, thanks to Jadzi) =)

How symbiotic! The wiki helped you, and this list might in turn help the wiki in providing alternate sourcing.

Those are the same as the Tier 2 crafted elven armor, some vendor armor in Rivendell, and a number of treasure drops.

They do indeed match (they're in the Compendium 1.8.0, though the name is typo'd as "Spaulder's"), but that's not where the look originates.

I think this has been lost on a lot of people due to the Lorien class barterers being class restricted, but a fair number of armor pieces from those scaling instances re-use the cosmetic appearances of the Vile Maw and Dar Narbugud sets. Those shoulders are actually from the Dar Narbugud Captain's set (Armour of the Lady's Courage) originally.

It's the basic tier 6 crafted armor - Sellsword's/Sentinel's/Officer's/Noble's. The Lorien rep piece is more ornate, and actually the same as one of the purple Moria three-piece set chests. The Mirkwood chest looks a lot different, and darker.

I hope to go through and do some more detailed labeling later today so people can weigh buying the World-Mannequin offers before they rotate on the first.

More specifically YOUR vast wiki articles helped. Especially as I tried my hardest to remember where the gloves were. After 100+ items, and running around in circles for a few hours, I could no longer locate items I knew were there. It was nice to know what was actually there, and what it cost without having to side by side compare every item.

There were actually a few wiki issues that turned up while I was doing this. ..I wish I could get my brain wrapped around what it'd take to fix it myself, especially with the lorebook going away. More than one item on that list was only sorted out because of the Lorebook.

1.A piece that I know is a match for a Dunland piece isn't listed ("Item:Ceremonial Storyteller's Fur-lined Hood" "Quest Reward: ROI (Minstrel)")

2.In more than one place an item is under the wrong slot-heading in the Dunland Cosmetic list.

3.You've only got SOME of the old Mannequin sets listed. I'm going to need to go through Compendium and do some comparisons to try and identify some more of the 'Former' pieces. (Which is especially hard when I don't have the vault space to open even the boxes I've purchased necessarily because what I'm now storing in 1 space, will take up 7!)

    4. There are Dunland NON-CLOAK cosmetics that aren't packaged in any armor set.

The use of class specific appearances in scaling armor pieces is something I've noticed, but I want to prefer noting a guaranteed acquisition path when possible =), especially because some servers don't have the populations running the older content to see the bind-on-equip stuff hit the auction hall.

That's the beauty of a wiki - if something's wrong, be it by error, typo, or subsequent change, someone can always jump in and fix it. Figuring out wiki markup can be daunting, sure, but it's not that bad once you get a feel for it. And there's plenty of pages to draw examples from, and template docs to guide on usage.

Alternatively, if you want to send me a list of corrections, I can put them in. There's a fair bit of work that still needs doing, certainly, such as populating the pages on the individual items in Lalia's market, and digging out the Mannequin outfits of the past. All things in due time.

I'd like to get the hang of it, and touch up quite a few things on my next character through, but when dealing with cosmetics, I'm especially weary of missing some kind of detail due to my graphics settings (Most notably, the fact that I really can't run in anything other than DX9 if I want a playable game experience.)

I do have notes including what should be some simple fixes, and some others where common sense says 'Something is almost certainly wrong here', but I'm not entirely sure how to unravel it without making more of a mess. I'd be happy to forward it along, and sit down and walk someone through what I saw, or didn't see.

Managed to ferret out my credentials. Trying to leave a note on your User page =)

Updated with some data for previous manaquin sets, and a brief description of current ones, along with better labeling for the pieces you can currently acquire separately

PS: Jadzi, the page that makes the most sense to my brain to start editing to fix things without unraveling stuff, is very.. very.. markup heavy. =)

I've made the corrections and double-checked the pieces in question. From what I can see, there's a fair number that use an icon that doesn't match their actual appearance, and yes, even a Medium pair of boots with a Heavy appearance.

The icon wasn't the thing that had me thinking of most of those pieces having issues, but it's going to take me getting the right racial character model to be sure there isn't some other issue that is causing the problem. Wouldn't be the first time, that we'd see Race causing distinctly pieces to appear the same, or vice-versa!

Because adding unlisted pieces into the sets seemed to me like it'd be the easiest place to start! Clearly I was wrong!

A brief update with this month's sets.
    Cutpurse 50 http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2012/02/26/cutpurse/ 8/1/2013
    Nimrodel Sentinal's Set 50 http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2...odel-sentinel/ 8/1/2013
    Wayfinder Set 50 http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2...n-dark-places/ 8/1/2013
    Deepening Rift 50 http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2...eepening-rift/ 8/1/2013

For this month's purchases I can only recommend the DRift set, ONLY if you don't have the cloak already (It has been in a previous manaquin outfit, and was available as a drop item in Sari Suma before it was scaled.)

    -Last Months Sets-
    Lady of Swans 50 http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2.../18/swan-lake/ 7/1/2013
    Battle Ready Set 50 http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2.../battle-ready/ 7/1/2013
    Rune-casting set 50 http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2...6/runecasting/ 7/1/2013
    Worm Slayer 50 http://cosmeticlotro.wordpress.com/2...5/worm-slayer/ 7/1/2013

I'm entirely surprised given the volume of available cosmetics Laila has stored in the back-room, that we haven't seen a much wider rotation than the 4 monthly outfits yet despite 2 major builds since it went live.
