Bridle Eastemnet VS Riddermark Gem of Acumen

Hi - So I had a kin mate explain the difference to me, but I don't think I get it.
Looking for some insight on the following:

Bridle Eastemnet Gem of Acumen = +25% Critical Multiplier
Bridle Riddermark Gem of Acumen = Increases Skill Critical Damage by 25%

    What's the difference?
Which one is better, and why?

So far as I can tell, they're the same effect?

Last time I checked, only one stat of the three changed between the Eastemnet and Riddermark relics, and I don't think it's usually that. If the mastery or something goes up from one to the other, it's likely that the effect is the exact same thing (which it appears to be), simply worded differently.

Edit: According to the Wiki, it's just the crit that goes up, and while the effects may be worded differently, it's the same thing. (And exactly why I didn't spend the extra shards to make the higher tier relics.)
