    Lightbulb grams, gv camping solution

i don't know if its just this server, but im sick of all the gv, grams camping. when creeps camp gv, half the time some newb will run into the one shots and kill everyone, and we consently have to try to pull them back far enough to have a fair fight, and at grams the terrain is different so freeps never get killed by the one shots. im thinking that both grams and gv should be a no infamy zone for both sides, for like 100m or so. there will literaly be no point in camping and there'll be fair pvp, and maybe if you engage in combat before you enter the zone youll still get the infamy. its a good way to end the camping, if turbine even cares

There is no reason to be camped at any location. People choose to do so. At grams and gv especially. There are safe paths out. Creeps have maps, etc. No way to be camped at these locations. Your idea wouldn't work. Camping would still occur. Would just be harder for you to get renown and infamy. As far as the terrain goes I have seen creeps successfully 'camp' GV in fact you can get closer to the one shots at GV than at grams in certain areas.

If both sides just left and went and actually pvp'd this wouldn't be a problem. They won't they never have. The End.

Also I have been killed numerous times by one shots at grams. It isn't a single person running up btw. It is a member in your group or near you using an AOE that hits the guards. If you are standing close enough to be killed by the one shots. You are too close and need to back off. The end.

well I rarely ever see someone get killed at grams, no offence, and yes the people are at fault but its hard to move 20-30 people unless there all in one raid. plus people are in the moors for pvp, no one person can move everyone in the moors and still keep the pvp going, unless its xik of coarse. making it a no infamy zone is a start to ending the camping.

we have paths out but that that's the individuals choice, if you rage in OOC telling everyone to move no ones going to listen because that's were the action is and unless it changes that's where theyre going to stay. if theres no benefit to pvp there, there will be a lot less battles there, and its for both sides so its not creeps running to grams to get infamy while freeps don't get anything.

I have played many mmos with no infamy/renown zones. You know what happens? They camp they no infamy/renown zones. Even if they make it to where you can't attack from or in these zones. People camp them. This is a fact from personal experiance. You can't end camping in an MMO. The reason people are camped is cause they are afraid to die, or they just won't leave the area being camped. It is up to the individual. If it is being camped, just leave and find somewhere else to pvp. If it isn't going on anywhere else on the map; then you are not enjoying the type of PVP that is occuring, log out of your creep, zone back to environment with your freep. Those are the real choices.

Well Pivik is right about one thing they will camp the no infamy zones. Why? cause your going to get no infamy/coms if they die there, that would happen on both sides.

Simple solution would be have an in game Administrator watching the PVE unfold. Simply start sending Global messages out and then kicking those out the PVE areas for a period of time till the people start actually playing. That goes for both sides, I'm not talking about GM's and support/report tickets. I'm talking a real life person appointed to the position of maintaining the moors for everyone, with a objective ambiguous opinion. Cause lets face it where getting a bit stupid with the style of play lately.

Gv/Grams camps are a part of LOTRO PvMP. If they made a no gain zone at both of those locations there will still be camps. Why is this? Because it's still kills. It is still PvP.

To restate something that was already said in this thread, camps do not have to happen if you do not want them to. You can move around, map, what ever to get away from it maybe take a keep and try to force a fight there. Yes they can be VERY dull and boring but I personally do not mind them that much. When you camp Grams you tend to get some Creeps to come out. When you camp GV you tend to get some Freeps to come out which both leads to more/better PvMP.

Of course, it all depends on what people you have out. Scrub players tend to not be aggressive therefor more boring to fight and as for that problem it has to do with the server not the system. All in all, I can sum up my response to your comments about camping main hubs in just two words. No qq.

Lmao, fail thread. Only thing that would change with your idea is the camping location, or maybe it wouldn't even change. Me and many others don't even care for infamy anymore, not now that every failure like yourself for example can faceroll to high ranks. I would camp and kill people just for the pleasure of having them rage while I corpse jump.

Easiest way to get out of a camp is to have a group keep them distracted and another person makes a raids and hits the distracted freeps in the flank by mapping out or going out another way regroup at a strategic position, smoke or say a prayer or something with to the god(s) or luck then charge! usually has a 57% chance of success rate. just have to think out of the box of fighting head on against superior heals/dps and use numbers to your advantage. though if they break up afterwards I would strongly suggest not camping them and go for a delving boss or something else more productive (flip a keep, relic, if ops are unbalanced balance them) but hey that's just me
