love my hunter
I have been a gamer since before computers were used for gaming and have almost always played some kind of ranged DPS character, starting with a ranger in table-top D&D and AD&D. I've tried a few of the other classes (my second main is a warden) but always come back to my hunter. I admit, part of the reason in LOTRO is the travel skills, but by no means is it the biggest reason I like hunters. Mainly, I like the thought of being able to stand back from the main part of the fight but still killing mobs. And lets face it, who doesn't like being able to hit or root multiple mobs all at once (Rain of Arrows/Thorns). I like the ability to lay traps.
Someone mentioned removing poison and fearing animals. those are skills I use frequently, both solo and in groups. Very handy skills to have.
