Has anyone else had a problem similar to this?

So I was about to get expert proficiency but it's stuck at the 360 points. I'll show you pictures, that will make it easier to understand the problem.

Picture 1 (here you can see I'm about to finish making a steel chain link): http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/...ps75db3d7b.jpg

Picture 2 (here you can see that I made the steel chain link, but I didn't go into the mastery points): http://s1193.photobucket.com/user/da...tml?sort=3&o=7

Has anyone had a similar problem like this? I've put in tickets and bug reports into turbine, but nothing has happened

You have a quest to do, which should be able to be picked up from any Novice or Expert Metalsmith (which presumably will be relatively close, since you usually need a forge for crafting, and they hang out by forges). Once you finish the quest it'll unlock the next tier, the Master section, and you'll be able to use Superior crafting facilities.

Am I misremembering, or did there not used to be more guidance and fanfare about this little milestone? I recall on my main, and a few early alts getting a prominent message about seeking out someone to learn the mysteries of the superior forge/workbench etc. But on my last few alts, it seemed that expert proficiency didn't trigger anything unless you just happened to notice that a nearby craft npc had a quest ring now. You'd just stop getting crafting xp, meanwhile wasting your material. I see an awful lot of people ask the OP's question in game chat now. Seems kind of rough on people new to crafting. Maybe it should be an auto-bestow quest or something.

It used to be a lot more obvious because there used to be a quest for every single tier of crafting. I don't think there was any special kind of 'announcement' that you had to do a quest, it was just more obvious because you were always doing crafting quests.

Same as the notice to join a guild at expert tier, the notice to get the quest to unlock for access to superior workbenches/forges/libraries got removed.
