Help! Issue with graphics quality - character textures won't load in high quality
Hello,
I've been experiencing the following problem recently:
I always run the client on very high graphics settings. I turned them down very low the other day because I was running on battery and figured it'd use less RAM = last longer. Since switching them back to highest, there are two problems I experience.
1 - Every time I open the launcher, the graphics default to "Very Low" settings.
2 - Every time I change them to "Ultra High", everything switches back up fine EXCEPT the character textures, which remain of dreafully low quality.
All my settings are set highest, both in the Basic dialogue and the Advanced.
Did anyone else experience an issue like this? It's driving me crazy.
Edit: I found a temporary fix - I clicked "Revert Settings" and restarted the client, they're back on Ultra High now!

There are (still) issues with the Mac Client saving changes in Graphics information.
The "UserPreferences.ini" file from the Windows client is replaced by a plist file on the Mac... "~/Library/Preferences/com.turbine.Lotroclient.plist"
This is a binary file which can be viewed and modified using Xcode or TextWrangler -- TextEdit cannot read it.
One thing which is known -- the settings are saved ONLY when the client quits cleanly.
In other words... change your settings and quit the client BEFORE going on to play the game.
