    Legendary Shards

I have a boat load of legendary shards, how do I use them?

Are you referring to the items that you get when deconstructing a legendary item, or the (barter) items from deconning relics?

If it's the first, they're used in crafting recipes for level 60 second age LIs (possibly 3rd age as well, I'm not positive). If it's the second, they can be used for a variety of purposes, but all of those should be available at your local Relic Master (the guy that decons LIs and relics for you). Their most common purpose is for melding relics into better ones, which is something you shouldn't worry about until you hit cap.

The ones you get for "blowing up" LIs are used by all professions for crafting new LIs. Age doesn't matter, they're used to craft all 3 ages of every type of LI. (Not that a lot of people craft 3rd-age LIs, given their drop rate.) There are "Legendary Shards" which are used for level 60 & 65 items (I think) and Legendary Fragments which are used for level 75 & 85 LIs. If you are "farming" LI's for their relics, you will eventually get large piles of these which very few people will want.

Shards are only for 60s. 65, 75, and 85 are all Fragments, not shards. (That's also why I only mentioned 2nd and 3rd age, because there are no craftable 1st ages at 60. Those are only obtained via barter.)

Just for clarification: only weaponsmiths, woodworkers and jewellers do, I don't see any cooks make LIs (yet)

Cook is the only one that doesn't. You left out metalsmith, scholar, and tailor.
