    Tolkien Anagram Puzzles

I thought it was time for yet ANOTHER Tolkien puzzle thread, and I thought I would make it an anagram-puzzle thread. Anagrams are sort of my favourite kind of puzzles, but first I'll explain the rules:

    1. The person who gets the last anagram before him right gets to post the next one.
    2. People are not allowed to "just" post anagrams, you need to have guessed the one before you right to obtain the right to post one yourself.
    3. An anagram consist of one or multiple words that, when the order of the letters is switched, can turn into other words. See below for an example.
    4. The anagrams are limited to the "usual" canon, which includes:
    - The Hobbit
    - The Lord of the Rings
    - The Silmarillion
    - The Children of Hurin
    - The Adventures of Tom Bombadil (ah heck, why not? )

    5. Please don't make the anagrams too long (not more than 4 or 5 words maximum)
    6. If your anagram contains multiple words and people are not able to guess it after a couple of times, please hint the amount of words.

    EXAMPLE:

    "OK, jauntier Londoner, Hell!"

    could turn into:

    "John Ronald Reuel Tolkien"

So, I will start off with a fairly easy one:

    "Geek in torpor"

Now far ahead the Road has gone, and I must follow, if I can.

The answer must surely be "kingdom of Gondor."

I did not even notice that Devestator had misspelled it. At least he got all the letters, just not in the right order.

Well here's my stab at it.

As of now, I see nothing, starting with the basics:
No Rohan, Gondor, Shire, Mordor, Isengard, Orthanc, Baraddur, Minas Tirith, Bag End, Edoras, Fangorn, Osgiliath, Erebor, Lonely Mountain, Moria, Misty Mountains, Mirkwood, Rivendell, Bree, Dol "anything", Minas "anything", Mazarbul etc.

Nor do I see any people in it as of yet. I can see "Ent", while "Ered Luin" is also in there... I'll keep puzzling :S

You are correct. You do not see any of those places.

No, you can't. At least, I can't off the top of my head. So you are right in that those would be wrong.

I will. 2 in fact; they were living. "Wait," I hear you thinking. "How is that 2 clues?" The one obviously stated and one you should easily infer.

    Telperion and Laurelin!

(The two trees). The 'they were living' gave me the clue, that and staring at the letters thinking 'that would make Laurelin...'

    Absolutely correct. You're up.
Btw; the hint ya should've inferred was that they are no more.

Aye that's what I meant (and inferred), I should have italicised 'were'.

I can see Ranger(s), Gondor, Rohan, Aragorn, but only one of them and then can't come up w/ anything for the lefover letters that makes sense. Must ponder more. Too early to ask for a clue, but how many words we're looking for might help, when the time for a clue comes.

Same problem here, I am always left with a couple letters. DON'T give a hint yet, though. I want to keep thinking, it takes my mind off of my chemistry test for a while every hour
