    Hunter port sites bar

While on here months ago I came across someone recommending a UI that had a vertical bar that slotted on the right-hand side to store all a Hunters location skills, with the added feature that it disappears unless you hover your mouse over the.extreme right of your screen. Now being a fool I never took down the details , I was only lvl 20 something at the time and thought my quickslots would last forever :P

Anyone think this sounds familiar and doesn't mind pointing me right direction?

    Cheers

That sounds just like the Travel plugin, which you can get here: http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...velWindow.html

If you've not worked with plugins before, they can be a bit confusing at first. The installation instructions on the above link are complete, but don't mention using the newish Lotro Plugin Manager to load your plugin(s) for you automatically (as opposed to having to type commands every time you log into the game). Here is a brief overview of that feature: http://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Plugin_manager

I use the Travel plugin on all my adventuring characters, as even for non-hunters and non-wardens, the plugin frees up six to eight quick-slots for other skills.

You can also try using TonicBars from the same site

This plugin lets you ADD as many Quickslots and Bars as you like

    I have bars for:

Mounts: has all my Mounts available on a separate QuickBar
    Travel: ALL my hunter Ports
Map Home: House, Kin House, Milestones and Return to Camp
Wounds: All my morale, power and removal pots

You can also set how to activate the bars

"Always On" - "In-Combat" - "Key Pressed" etc.....

The latest version of TonicBars is also Class specific
So if you log in Hunter it will have some default slots for hunters ..... Stance ... Focus Skill etc.....
If you log in Mincer ... Tier 1 Ballad, Tier 2 .. etc......

    Cool Thanks

well thank you both, think I will give both a try and see how they compare, I suspect these UI plug ins will become more and more necessary as the volume of skills goes up and up. Just got my first three legendary skills and it hit me that I had no where to put them and nothing obvious to delete... panic and head to the forums time!

I'm really dumb about doing stuff like this, let me explain what I have done. I downloaded the travel plugin file, the betaLUA plugins.7z file and extracted it to the plugin data folder. It is the only one I see under the LOTRO folder. Is this the right one to extract to or do I need to make a new folder called plugins? So far I don't see anything in the plugin manager when I click on it.

Some of the plugins require an additional level of directories (typically the name/pseudonym of the author), some not. Usually it is described in the documentation of the plugin. But the easiest way is to use the LOTRO Plugin Compendium: http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...ompendium.html

Please note, that this is a stand-alone windows program. It is not a plugin and runs outside of Lotro. But this lets you choose, which plugin to install, and it takes care about unzipping and will set up the correct directory structure. It is also quite handy to check and install updates of the plugins.

Thank you For sharing this program. I got the travel program installed now and can't wait for the servers to come up so I can see it. This is better than a book called installing plugins for dummies. ;=))

Try using the quickslot page feature

Being a hunter myself, I feel your pain. I solved the problem using the quickslot page feature of the UI. While I am a great believer in plugins and skins (I use them both). I think it makes sense to use a feature which is available rather than having to load a plugin.

Everyone starts out with 2 pages and gets a third when you get your war steed in Rohan for the riding skills. It switches automatically when you mount and dismount your war steed. I use the 2nd page for skills like hunter ports, return to camp, milestones, etc. QS bars 0-3 are switched by the feature 4 & 5 are not. I use 4 & 5 for common items like pots and food. It is amazing how much easier life is with the QSs cleaned up. The page switch function can be mapped to any keys. I use Ctl-PgUp and CtlPgDn but you can use anything.

I hope you find this helpful.
